What is your favorite, ever? Either the Visvim’s FBT series or Jordan IVs. I have a nice rotation of both styles to cover most of my needs! Do you have your own sneaker collab or is it on process? Of course I’d love to have my own sneaker collab and I did talk with adidas about it back when I was at Sneaker Freaker, but it never paned out, as these things do. I opted to get Sekure D (one of the world’s most prolific customisers) to create my own YO! 180 RAPS shoe for the ATL Sneaker Friends in 2010 I was fortunate to DJ at. I’ve rocked those to death now so it’s time to keep hounding those brands for the next level

collab. Watching Woody work with brands at Sneaker Freaker has been the most incredible experience and seeing sneakers come to life that were released in my time, there was invaluable knowledge to the infinite process of collaboration! Tell me, has Jay Smith stolen the address of your glasses retailer? Hahaha coincidences purely and a case of awesome taste in eyewear haha. I first started wearing my Frogskins as opticals when I started at Sneaker Freaker. The hours of staring at the computer photoshopping, editing copy and writing articles online led to some pretty shitty eyesight. Add to that staring at my laptop for hours researching new music and playing off Serato, all called for the Frogskins to save the day. I’ve been collecting Froggies for a long minute and to be honest, the sheer lightness of the plastic frames, tucked together with endless colour palettes, made them an easy choice to rock. If I’m not mistaken Jay rocks only white, while I’ve gone through a rainbow of colours, losing countless pairs on planes or in clubs. I’m shattered to have lost my beloved Atmos Splatter collabo pair. I have NO IDEA where they are, but someone is rocking some mad fresh froggies. Texte : Frère Tuck Illustration : Toki

purposes but because I have chronic arthritis in my right knee (an old gymnastic injury). My orthopedic surgeon is, ironically, a massive sneaker head who knows about all types of trainers and their effects on our feet. He told me Jordans are the best for my knees as the support is by far the most superior to any other sneaker available. The bubbles of air, the cut of the shoe. Seriously, I’m not allowed to wear anything but Jordans these days. Prescribed by the doc ! Luckily my stacks of OG JIII and JIV run deep! But on those fancier occasions, I head to my Visvim collection, thank god for the Vibram sole !
