Driving on Powder Mountain When driving down the mountain, shift into low gear (2 or 3) and maintain a 10 - 20mph speed [don't ride the brakes!]. It's always good to carpool - bring someone with you or caravan down with friends. If you feel uncomfortable driving down the mountain at any point leave your car! We can shuttle you up or have a team member bring the car down.

Ray Girn CEO Higher Ground Education Ray Girn is the Founder and CEO of Higher Ground Education, a school management organization dedicated to mainstreaming and modernizing the international Montessori movement. Ray received an BSc with honors from the University of Toronto, with a focus on philosophy and neuropsychology, as well an AMI Montessori teaching diploma from the Montessori Institute of San Diego. Prior to founding Higher Ground, Ray had a 13-year career with LePort Schools. Ray cofounded LePort’s K-8 lab school, and led a team of educators in architecting LePort’s upper school curriculum. In 2010, he took over as CEO, and in 5 years took the company from a small, local family business of 3 schools to the largest Montessori operator in the United States. In March 2016, Ray founded Higher Ground Education with the goal of creating an international platform to drive the spread of high quality, high fidelity Montessori. Higher Ground recently opened its 8th school, and has 6 more new locations confirmed for next fall.
Michal Borkowski Co-Founder & CEO, Brainly CEO of Brainly, a peer-to-peer learning platform of over 100 million users. Michał is responsible for Company Strategy, Product Strategy, Culture & Structure. Born 1987. Michał holds bachelor degree in Corporate Finance from Warsaw School of Economics. Actively doing business since high school. Before Brainly, Michał co-founded Q&A networks, and found that subject-specific Q&As perform better than general Q&As. That was the original inspiration for Brainly. Michał was only 16 when he started his first company, and he’s been shaking up the internet ever since. He grew up in a small town before heading to Poland’s capital city to study corporate finance at the acclaimed Warsaw School of Economics. His work at Brainly is driven by the conviction that online communities can empower students from around the world with knowledge and information. Michał lives with his wife, Kasia, in New York City.
Robin Rosenberg EmpathyVR Robin S. Rosenberg is a clinical psychologist with coaching, consulting, and psychotherapy practices in San Francisco and Menlo Park, California and New York City. She is board certified in clinical psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology, and has been certified in clinical hypnosis. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Psychology, and an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco. In addition, she does research on various facets related to identity, and has a long-standing interest in virtual reality (VR) and the ways it can promote positive behavior. Along with colleagues at Stanford University’s Virtual Human Interaction Lab, she investigated whether giving people the power to fly (like Superman) in VR could induce helpful behavior in the real world. (Answer: it can.) She has written college-level psychology textbooks as well as books for a general audience, and has taught psychology classes at Harvard University and Lesley University.

Juan Cabrera El Paso ISDÂ Juan E. Cabrera currently serves as the Superintendent of Schools for El Paso ISD. "Juan is a former bilingual teacher/Migrant coordinator and recently completed the ALAS Superintendent's Leadership Academy in Cohort 1. He graduated from Texas A & I University in 1988 with a Bachelors of Business Administration and has also completed courses at the London School of Business and the Harvard Negotiation Project. Juan obtained his Law Degree from the University Of Texas School Of Law in 1996. He has worked in K-12 Publishing and Education Technology and formerly served as Associate General Counsel with AIM Funds in Houston and International General Counsel for BMC Software, Inc. in Houston, Amsterdam and in Latin America. He has extensive experience in both the public and private sector and focuses on school law, technology contracts, employment law, and public sector governance. Prior to his inhouse experience, Mr. Cabrera was an associate in the administrative law/commercial litigation sections at Haynes and Boone, LLP in Austin and in the commercial and technology transactions section at Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell in Houston."
Ana Roca Castro CEO, Genius Plaza Ana Roca Castro started her career at Columbia University where she managed educational projects for the School of Public Health. She then led the implementation of Oracle Learning Management System (OLM) for the United Nations. In 2008, Ana became a social entrepreneur and started her first tech venture to help businesses and organizations achieve their capacity building objectives via state-of-the-art application development. Ana and her team have developed a series of educational platforms and over 100 educational games. Her latest startup Genius Plaza is dedicated to closing the academic achievement gap particularly among children of recent immigrants and At-Risk students. Ana is also the founder of Latinos in Tech Innovation and Social Media (#LATISM). A nonprofit organization dedicated to the empowerment of the Latino community in the areas of education, health, business and inclusion through the use of tech innovation and social media.

Nathan Allen Nathan Allen is a former strategist for IBM Watson where he coordinated efforts between researchers, dev teams, and education stakeholders to develop and implement A.I. solutions to transform education. Previously, Nathan developed and implemented large-scale content distribution and assessment platforms in high-latency/low-bandwidth environments and education programs for school districts and governments from Turkmenistan to Mexico. His partners in these projects span the spectrum of education stake-holders, from school districts and private corporations to NGOs and the U.S. State Department.
CULINARY + PERFORMERS
Chef Haru Kishi Kishi’s culinary journey started simple in a small Tokyo restaurant and later his family’s Japanese restaurant in Paris. From there he trained under some of the world’s most notable chefs like Joel Robuchon at Le Chateau in Tokyo and later with Gordon Ramsey of reality TV fame at a series of Ramsey’s restaurants between Tokyo, France and L.A., finally becoming executive chef of Summit Series, an organization that host conferences and events. Kishi says his food is based on this journey and the cooking he was able to do in each destination.
