Security Certificate errors while browsing HTTPS websites through TMG Issue: When browsing any HTTPS websites through TMG, certificate errors appear and websites fail to load. Cause: TMG has extra built in security that checks to see if websites are trusted to be accessed to the client. This security may impact the browsing experience by asking for certificate validation before accessing the website. Solution: Turn off HTTPS inspection 1. Logon as an Administrator and open the TMG Management console 2. In the Forefront TMG Management console, in the tree, click the Web Access Policy node. 3. In the Tasks pane, click Configure HTTPS Inspection. 4. On the General tab, make sure that Enable HTTPS inspection is selected, and then select the following: 5. Do not inspect traffic, but validate site certificatesâ€”Select this option to check only the validity of secure Web site certificates 6. Click Apply and OK to save the changes 7. Click Apply on the Main TMG Console window to confirm the changes 8. Wait 5 minutes and test your settings by opening a secure website that uses https.
