LE MONDE DES CRÊPES …COMPANY PROFILE Le Monde Des Crêpes is based in Lamballe (Northern Brittany), France, where it has built up a reputation for its excellent crêpe products supplying the catering industry with the finest frozen products of their category and an unbeatable customer service. The crêpes are made using only fresh, natural ingredients such as whole milk, whole eggs and flour. The Crêpes, which can be plain or filled, are made to classic French recipes … and beyond. These are available sweet or savoury, plain or filled, frozen. One of our competitive advantages is our spirit of innovation. Among our latest products we have an organic range, buckwheat blini, American-style flavoured pancakes for every occasion and sweet filled or mini crepes. The variety of fillings is extensive. Le Monde Des Crêpes makes products for France and the export market geared towards specialized distribution channels such as Foodservice/Catering industry distributors (HORECA), Freezer Centres, Cash & Carry stores and frozen food home delivery retailers. COMPANY HISTORY Mr Jarnoux began making crêpes commercially in 1982. The company Crêperie Jarnoux was created by Mr Jarnoux in 1991 to supply crêpes for the local area in Brittany. The business grew rapidly and Crêperie Jarnoux soon began to supply the rest of France, then some export markets. In 2002 the deep-frozen division was created in order to export crêpes around the world and Le Monde Des Crepes was founded in 2007. We are present in more than 20 countries in Europe, North America, Australia, Asia and the United Arab Emirates. The turnover in 2011 was €6.6m and growing. PRODUCTION FACILITY Covering 3,000 square metres, Le Monde Des Crêpes’ modern factory (est. 2008), dedicated to the manufacture of deep-frozen crêpes and pancakes, currently employs 45 people and produces daily over 240,000 crêpes and galettes (savoury crêpes) and 40,000 filled crêpes. PRODUCT RANGE Crêpes are available as a savoury or sweet product. Galettes, which are made from buckwheat, are made to be enjoyed with savoury fillings. Both can be supplied plain or filled to customer’s specifications or needs. We also produce American-style pancakes, and blini. Traditional Breton Crêpes – diameter from 18 to 35cm (from 45 to 89in.) Mellow mini crêpes – diameter from 10 to 14cm (from 25 to 35in.)
