2021

message from the chairperson Happy New Year!! I’m pretty sure those words have never meant more to the entire world!! I’m certain we are all hopeful for a bright new tomorrow, an uninhibited flow to business and daily living! Thank you for being a Member of the Lewis Clark Valley Chamber of Commerce!! Together we can do astounding things for one another! Building better business is accomplished through networking, building relationships, making referrals and simple sharing of information. Please be mindful of those things as 2021 unfolds. It’s been a long while since new resolutions held so much potential and opportunity yet are still laced with uncertainty and apprehension. Unlike a failed workout routine or new diet, 2021 resolutions may or may not struggle like their predecessors.

darce vassar Chair, LCV Chamber

The handbook along with our website, monthly newsletter, emails, networking opportunities, and events are designed to provide timely and interesting information about your business community. As the only Chairwoman in the LC Valley’s history to have a second year at the helm, I am exponentially excited to increase engagement at every level. We all know that our return is only as good as our investment. Please join me with a renewed enthusiasm, level of involvement, and excitement for new and existing business.

From growing up in the small community of Genesee, Idaho to graduating from the University of Idaho with a degree in Communications and Business I’ve learned and reminded myself hundreds of times how valuable strong relationships are in every aspect of life. Being a part of the Chamber is apropos to those lifelong thoughts and realizations. My late husband Bob, our daughter Katie and I are all proud Vandals. I’m a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker Tomlinson, licensed in Idaho and Washington. Real estate is a phenomenal industry—I love working with people from all facets of life; helping them reach their goals and realize their dreams! I am excited to be in this role and I look forward to seeing so many familiar faces throughout the community. If we’ve yet to meet please do not hesitate to introduce yourself to me. Networking is the key; conversations are the beginning; and better business is the goal!! Tremendous thanks to the Chamber Staff, my Executive Board, and the Ambassadors. We have navigated through unprecedented times and should be proud of the results achieved throughout 2020. Working with the 2020 Board of Directors and learning from their immense body of knowledge and insight has been rewarding in so many ways and I cannot thank you enough. Stay informed, mark your calendars, and participate!! Bring your co-workers, your business cards, and please don’t forget to say hello! I’m looking forward to a fresh, healthy, and prosperous new year for all of us!! Welcome Aboard and Cheers! Darce Vassar, 2021 Chairwoman of the Board
