History Group The origin of the IBEROSTARS GROUP comes from the family FluxĂ  and goes back to 1877 with the founding of the first footwear industry of the island of Mallorca, Spain. 1956: GRUPO IBEROSTAR enters the travel industry in 1956 with the purchase of a group of travel agents who, over the years, grows into a large international company with the following divisions: the largest network of offices retailers in Spain, several tour operators, an airline, a receptive agency, a cruise company and a hotel division.

2004: It constituted the Iberostar Foundation is the institution of the Group for the welfare, cultural development and development cooperation.


2006: GRUPO IBEROSTAR focuses on the hospitality division, key business areas of the group. Maintain IBEROSERVICE, receptive division. 2007: It launches a new line of luxury hotels, The Grand Collection.

2008: It creates new real estate division, IBEROSTATE Golf, Villas & Condos, dedicated to the development of luxury holiday homes in the most exclusive resorts in IBEROSTAR of 5 stars.

2011: GRUPO IBEROSTAR started expanding to urban hotels in tourist destinations such as Budapest, Havana and Tenerife (Canary Islands).

2012: GRUPO IBEROSTAR consolidated its hotel business in 16 countries around the world, and extends the line The Grand Collection. Today the IBEROSTAR GROUP is a Spanish company 100% family owned, with over 50 years experience in the travel industry.
