The album has secured their fourth consecutive 9/10 review in the NME (a unique feat not achieved by any other band in the history of the magazine) and scores of glowing reviews including a declaration from The Times that ‘The Seldom Seen Kid’ is ‘surely one of the year’s best records’. Expect ‘a show of delicate finesse and brutal booming beauty’ Daily Telegraph, containing ‘a spellbinding set of songs that keep them stratospheres above the majority of modern British rock groups’ NME.

Their debut album entered the UK charts in 1987 at number 2, selling over a million copies and their second album ‘Colour’ reached UK number 1. The Christians are looking forward to performing their hot songs along with new ones to their fans on their 2008 UK tour.

Bath Philharmonia presents a rare treat – a double-bill of two of composer Howard Blake’s most popular pieces - The Bear and the iconic The Snowman. Originally composed as orchestral scores for the Raymond Briggs cartoons, these highly evocative compositions are married with a vivid narration, given by actor Russell Boulter, and featuring the seasonal anthem ‘Walking in The Air’, performed by a young soprano. Bath Philharmonia is a leading professional orchestra and its players are some of the finest and most experienced orchestral musicians in Britain.
