Mitsouka Ramdhanny Mithsouka completed her teacher training from the Yoga Institute of Miami Florida. Before becoming a yoga instructor, she was a dedicated student of this ancient spiritual art. She is the resident yoga instructor and teaches full time classes at LaSource. She pioneered the very first Yoga studio in Grenada. To her yoga is a blessing that she is truly grateful for & feels proud that she can share this divine knowledge to others.

Janet Foglia An experienced Sivananda yoga teacher with qualifications from both the British Wheel of Yoga and the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre. Jan has been practicing yoga over thirty years starting at the age of 16. Her teaching philosophy draws on a variety of schools, including Iyengar, Sivananda and Ashtanga. Her teaching also includes meditation, stress management and relaxation technique, chakra balancing and pranayama.

Class Description Absoulte Beginners Yoga - Yogic breathing - moving with the breath. This is an easy relaxing session starting with the basics, good posture, proper breathing, concentration techniques to quite a busy mind, simple yoga movements and finally enjoy a deep relaxation. Hatha Yoga Involves steadily held postures, relaxation and breath control to tone the muscles, improve flexibility, stimulate circulation and improve overall health promoting total physical and spiritual well being. Dynamic Yoga using breath control to move in and out of the postures dynamically as well as statically, increasing concentration whilst improving strength, flexibility and stamina. Finishing with a deep relaxation.

Iyengar yoga is the most widely recognized approach to Hatha Yoga, was created by B.K.S. Iyengar. This style of yoga focuses on the structural alignment of the physical body through the development of asanas. Through the practice of a system of asanas, it aims to unite the body, mind and spirit for health and well being.

Monday February 7

Iyengar Yoga

Based on the teachings of Swami Sivananda, each 90 minutes sesson focuses on 12 core poses including salute to the sun, standing and seated positions backbends, forward bends, twists, balances, shoulder and headstand, ending the pranayama and deep relaxation. These sessions take the back through its full range of movement.

The practice of Surya yoga supports development of the koshas, or temporal sheaths, of the subtle body The practice is an integral part of the Ashtanga and Vinyasa system. This is known as the energy of the whirling motions.

TIME

This style of yoga involves a series of classical yoga poses practiced in a traditional way. Transcendental yoga gives great emphasis on longer holding time and breath coordination with movements

Vinyasa Flow Yoga A flowing continuous tapestry of poses linked together with the breath for endurance, emotional release and stamina. Ending with deep relaxation.
