La Rosière is tapping into this trend by creating three permanent touring trails close to the marked slopes. Generally, people go ski touring in sites that are not joined to a resort, so the idea is to provide a place where ski touring fans can try out the discipline or train, while making them aware of the risks involved. TRY YOUR HAND AT MUSHING! TUESDAY TOURING TASTERS! The resort’s qualified instructors will teach you the different techniques of this discipline, which is enjoying a surge in popularity: how to attach the “skins” to your skis, the switchback technique to help you climb, safety tips, etc. An evening taster session lasts around two hours, including a Savoyard snack to boost your energy!
