Eight-year-old Rachel Seabrook, centre, holds a sandcastle cake she made for Nicomekl Elementary School’s cake walk yesterday (Thursday). The cake walk is one of several events which Karla Lopez, 9, (left) and Alessandra Lechuga, 9, are organizing to raise money for the Gateway of Hope shelter for the homeless.
