how to select a job and how to fixe

from the (JOB) setting, select a scale factor rename (JOB selection), from the(F1) [LIST] select an empty job (job1,TO,job10) you can change the scale factor from (F4)[S.F.] from the (JOB) name edit, select the job you want to edit and change ex:( job1-----> dubai0109) maximum12 alphanumeric

MEAS MODE SCREEN (COORDINATE MEASUREMENT) SETUP THE INSTRUMENT, COLLECT MEASUREMENT DATA (TOPOGRAPHY) before coordinate measurement, enter instrument station coordinates, the instrument height, and target height.

in the first page (p1),press[coord] olso in the page(p2), press (F1) [MENU] and select coordinate and - SELECT STN.ORIENTATION THEN STN.COORDINATE - INPUT THE INSTRUMENT STATION COORDINATES INSTRUMENT HEIGHT AND TARGET HEIGHT WHEN YOU WISH TO READ IN THE REGISTRED COORDINATE DATA PRESS(F1) [READ]

BACHSIGHT enter the azimuth angle press [ok] coord : enter the coordinates of the bachsight point, press [ok] . WHEN YOU WISH TO READ IN THE REGISTRED STN. ORIENTATION ANGLE :

set the azimuth of the backsight station by inputting the angle or by calculation from the coordinates.

MLM (MISSING LINE MEASUREMENT) FROM THE MENU SELECT MLM ,PRESS OBS TO THE FIRST POINT AND PRESS MOVE TO MOVE INTO THE SECOND POINT ,PRESS MLM , THE DISPLAY THE FOLOWING SLOPE DISTANCE , HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL DISTANCE PETWEEN THE 2 POINT. PRESS AGAIN MOVE TO MOVE FROM THE 2ND TO THE THIRD POINT.TO DISPLAY (S,H,V)DISTANCE FROM THE SECOND TO THE THIRD POINT.

RESECTION MEASUREMENT N, E, Z OF AN INSTRUMENT STATION IS DETERMIND BY THE MEASUREMENT. - BETWEEN 2 AND 10 KNOWN POINTS CAN BE MEASURED BY DISTANCE MEASUREMENT, AND - bETWEEN 3 AND 10 KNOWN POINTS BY ANGLE MEASUREMENT. In the page (p2) select MENU==>RECECTION==>ENZ Input the coordinate of the first(1) point or read from the memory ,input the (2) second point , sight the first point and press [DIST] enter the target height and press [YES],press [CALC], the coordinate of the point calculated with the measurement accuracy are displayed.

this is an example of recection by 4known points, measured only by ANGLE observation .to do that, from recection select ENZ and input successively the 4 known point ,and press MEAS , and press ANGLE sight the first point and press YES , sight the other points, press CALC , instrument station coordinate and standard deviation ,which descrabes the measurement accuracy,are displayed.press RESELT to check the result.press ADD when there is a known point that has not been measured. select the bad result and press BAD (*), press RE CALC , to perform calculation.and press OK. SAME STEPS TO FOLOW FOR THE ELEVATION RECECTION.

ONCE THE RECECTION IS FINISH YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT BY PESSING OK , THEN SET AZIMUTH YES TO FINISH THE ORIENTATION THEN START OBSERVATION TO COLLECT DATA OR SETING OUT.

HOW TO DOWN LOAD INTO THE SKKIALINK SOFTWARE

USB To Serial Cable(DB-9M.DB-25)Prolific Chip

download the driver of the prolific cable, and from the system select harware and open device manager on your PC, click on the ports(com& lpt) and check wich COM your prolific usb cable is connected to . In the sokkialink software click on port setup and select the port (COM?) your prolific cable connected to the PC, check the baudrate and other...Wich will be the same in the tatal sation comms setup .

connecte the cable and ,go to data select reCeive data and click down on the connection ..From the total station select comms output, select the job you want to download and click enter you will see near the job selected OUT and press ok ,select (sdr33),enter, select reduced data press enter , the data will download successfully. press sdr save file , and save the file in the disired location.

OPEN DATA AND SEND TO TOTAL STATION FROM SOKKIALINK

open sdr, text file from (fiedbook/ reduced coordinates to open a data that you downloaded and saved somewhere in your folders, from the data menu choose total station to display field book/reduced coordinates dialog box. Select SDR20/SDR33 ,and from open data , open the file you already saved ,click drawing total station dialog box will display to ask you if you like to draw the line and click on the symbol mark settings to displys the mark settings dialog box, click ok to accept the setting (if you select do not draw, that means only the point or the mark text will displayed in the drawing screen). once you click ok automaticaly you return to the main menu. for more information please refere to your sokkialink user guide.

export to sdr file if you have any text file that contains the (point ID, COORDINATES AND DISCRIPTION OR CODE) with the comma,space or dot delimitate, that you wish to export to the total station, first, select the format your text file is discribed, go to open data and open the text file, that will displayed as (point id, N ,E and elevation and code ). click on the export and the export dialog box will display ,select SDR file , inthe right side select SDR33 coordinates ,and press ok to save the file in SDR format , so that, the total station can read the format. click exit to return to the main screen.

send data TO TOTAL STATION

from data menu select send data , and the send data dialog box will display, click on the SDR open file and open the file that you exported as SDR file, make a connection cable and click connection , before you click on data send, select in the total station a job from MEM where you want to receive and from known data press enter and select comms input and click data send from send data dialog box in sokkia link.

save dxf file

once you click on the drawing from the field book/ redused coordinates, you automaticaly return to this main screen and you can visualise,modify your drawing. From file menu select DXF files and select SAVE DXF File to save the drawing as dxf file . click on the site report to save the site report as (text, excel file.
