eyes open for all kind of photography. I would say that a copy a little bit the lightning from studio photography into action photography. I bookmark a lot of sites from photographers around the world and you can learn a lot especially from studio phtographers. But don´t copy a style. Try to bring your own style in your photos. Canon or Nikon? I have to say Canon. I started with Canon and I could keep all my lenses when I changed from film to digital. At the beginning of digital photography Canon were miles ahead. There was no reason for Nikon these days. What does your typical photo bag contain? I have to keep it light and mobile. Unfortunately it does´nt work so well. Here we go : Camera : Canon 5D mk II Lenses : Canon EF 100-400mm f4.5-4.6L Canon EF 24-105mm 1:4L Canon EF 85mm 1:1:2L II Canon EF 24-105mm 1:4L Sigma EF 15mm Fisheye Flashes : Sunpak 622 Super Pro Quantum Qflash X5d-R with Norman 400B Batterie pack Canon Speedlite 550EX Transmitters : Pocket Wizards Plus II How do you bring your lightning equipment on location? tographic equipment today. How do you imagine the new improvements in the years to come? I´d love to see lighter Batterie packs with more power for sure! For my current Camera i would like to have a better focus system with more focus fields. Germany is a great playground for action sports but, in your dreams, where do you would like to shoot? I always wanted to go to Japan. It was my no. 1 destination. Unfortunately it was ! Argentina would be sweet. It’s difficult to live on photography these days. Competition is tough and the press crisis doesn’t help. How do you see the future of the profession? Cameras getting better and better on a lower price but you need a person who is in passion. Somebody who brings out the best of the equipment. You always have to push yourself. If you love what you do you´re getting better and better. In my opionion if you do good job with passion you will stay in the game. Video has come to SLRs. What’s your opinion on this? I´m pretty stoked how good it looks like. You see so many good stuff. But on the other hand i get bored pretty fast. There are some styles which i like a lot but to many people copy the same style. Only the real creative people will stand out. It makes the whole video thing pretty interesting. When i bought the 5D mk II i was excited and wanted to film. It´s a complete different thing and it needs a lot time. Unfortunately i don´t have the time to film besides photography.

Do you have any advice for those who are starting out in sports photography? Be interested. Don´t expect quick results. Composition is important. Think twice about it. I would start with a good 50mm lens and try to bring the best out of it. If you have the chance to buy a camera with full format sensor buy it. Sunpak is always good. Cheap flashes with good power. Keep it simple and be focused on the photo. Is there anything you want to add? Thanks a lot for the opportunity to talk a little bit about photography in your mag. Thanks a lot t all they took me to journeys. Thanks a lot to all they supported me. Keep up the good work with your Mag !!!
