Girl Scouts are ready for the world. Making new friends, traveling, building a fire, creating art, resolving conflict, earning badges—Girl Scouts gives girls the resilience and confidence to become a leader who can change the world. Through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE), everything girls do—whether it’s performing science experiments or learning to protect the planet’s water supply—is aimed at giving them the opportunity to: discover, connect, and take action.
Girl Scout volunteers make an impact on the lives of girls.
They spend fun time with their troop. Make new friends. Organize field trips. Learn and teach girls new skills. Help girls make decisions. Be inspired by sisterhood. Learn first-aid. Go camping. Sing songs. Inspire girls to achieve their dreams.
special skills and talents, develop confidence, set challenging goals, and strive to live by strong values.
with others, work together, solve conflicts, and build healthy relationships.
to make the world a better place while learning more about the community and the world along the way.
Be the role model she’ll always remember.
Girl Scout volunteers provide a welcoming atmosphere and meet with girls on a regular basis. Each troop needs adult volunteers in order to get started. Volunteer positions are tailored to adults’ skills and schedules. Girl Scouts Heart of Central California provides free training and support to ensure volunteers and girls enjoy the benefits of Girl Scouting.
