SHORT PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Cables from the driver boards IM0107 or IM0110 connecting to the IGBTs shall not be tied together, but must run seperated from each other. See pictures on the next page for reference.

Failure to comply with this FSN could result in equipment damage and loss of Load. Immediate action has to be taken, including units in stock.

After the failure of some Inverter bridges, it was found that some UPSs Lanpro 33 CE, 100 and 120kVA, produced prior to week 31, year 2009, had the connection cables for the Inverter drive pulses tied together, although production directives did not specify this, neither was this the case in the homologated units. Extensive testing proved that the reliability and secure functionality of the Inverter could be reduced if the drive connection cables are not routed separately. We therefore highly recommand to verify at the earliest, on units produced previously of week 31, year 2009 the wiring connections of these drive pulse cables, and where necessary, to separate them. This can simply be done by cutting the straps used to tie them together. Attention: UPS must be shutdown, load can be supplied through Q2. The pictures below shall illustrate the above description.
