Arkansas (Gamma-Chi)
was sent to Fort Riley, Kansas, in preparation for duty in South Vietnam. He returned home in June 1967 and was released from active duty with the rank of captain. During his service he was awarded the Bronze Star with “V” Device and Oak Leaf Cluster, and the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters. He then joined his father in the family-owned concrete business, East Arkansas Materials Co., in Hazen, Arkansas. He later moved to North Little Rock, becoming a real estate agent and established Buckner Appraisal Group in July 1977.
Chapter members helped with tornado relief efforts in Vilonia, Arkansas.
Arkansas State (Iota-Theta) At the 2014 Greek Life Ceremony the chapter won four awards, more than any other fraternity on campus. These awards were: Outstanding IFC President (Nathan Tripod), Outstanding New Member (Earl Morris), Outstanding Chapter Advisor (Rian Snell), and Outstanding Educational Program (Conner’s Song). The chapter held an Initiation Ritual Exemplification for 2 associate members.
Baldwin Wallace (Kappa-Phi) Norbert S. Badar (1950) died January 2, 2014. He graduated from Cathedral Latin High School and joined the Army Air Force at the age of 17. He was trained as a fighter pilot and was in the service for two years. He attended Baldwin Wallace College, graduated from Eastern Michigan University, and earned a Master’s Degree from Michigan State University. Badar began his teaching and coaching career at Flint Northern High School in 1951, which lasted 40 years. Chris Madison completed the Boston Marathon.
