SKY WALKERS Mixed-uses housing Williamsburg DESIGN CRITIC JAMES GARRISON : Garrison Architects(Partner) FACADE CRITIC BENJAMIN MARTINSON : Heintges & Associates

Housing project for Williamsburg area Area : approximately 36,000 sq.ft. Williamsburg area was facing the situation of surging of real estate price in which it drove local people to escape for lower cost of living. Mixed uses building strategy was the theme for the studio as it aimed to solve dual benefits for both landloard and tenants. It was a hope to assure that landlord had seized the opportunity of his investment and to maintain the level of housing pricing for local people.

JOURNEY TO THE WEST Short film New York, U.S.A.

storyboards

shots from the short film

Maria Sierra

“Journey To the West was a classic Chine folktale that has long been told through Asian countries; the story is about the journ of an assigned monk traveling from China India to obtain Buddhist sacred texts and ret with knowledge of Buddhism to be beneficia Chinese Buddhism believers.

ese out ney a to turn al to

For this short film, I would like to make my own version of “Journey to the West. It could be seen as another version of the folktale but will be told in new manner. Rather than pursuing ultimate happiness, people today are struggling in finding who they are and what their purpose in lives are, so that they can find peace in mind. The main character is a female young-adult with the age of 27. Her mind was broken into pieces from encountering difficulties in reality. She started to forget her purpose of the journey and turned herself into monsters once she hated.
