SHALL WE GATHER?
When it comes to choosing a venue, the lake abounds with options. The Charles Mack Citizen Center in Mooresville has all the bases covered for both the wedding ceremony and reception. Offering two outdoor settings and six distinctive ballrooms, engaged couples will find the exact space they need for the dream wedding. If an equestrian feel is what a bride is looking for, she’ll love one of Lake Norman’s most unique facilities, Johnson Carriage House & Meadows. A European-style stable with a hardwood paneled gathering room and gourmet catering kitchen, this venue is certain to make the wedding day memorable. Chickadee Hill Farms, which sits on 25 gorgeous acres complete with lavender, sunflower, and wildflower fields, offers three sites from which couples can choose their ceremony setting, plus a climate controlled post-and-beam barn that accommodates 150 guests and features an elegant bridal suite with porch overlook. Steeped in history and southern elegance, the waterfront Laboratory Mill is a 19th-century building that seamlessly blends the old with the new. Surrounded by lush woodlands and bordering the Catawba River, the historic site offers gorgeous hardwood flooring, exposed ductwork, and walls of windows that allow a flood of natural light and a picturesque backdrop for photos.
