Phase 1 Period 0-3 month: development of the Incubator D7, project promotion, accumulation of the ideas, first networking events, launch of the support programme
B: Network D7
Integral part of the network is development of support kits for network members. Physical, visual and information kits will be developed for use by all participating members when needed. This will help new members to kickstart their ideas and will reduce the costs of organising and running activities.
Initial step of the proposal is creation of the 'Incubator D7' support centre where ideas for use of vacant spaces are born, tested and developed. Physical kits will be shared amongst network members. Members can use individual kits either to run activities or to improve / develop their spaces. Kits can be used separately or together depending on activity. For example an art gallery opening might need both event kit & temporary bar kit. Kits will be portable and easy-to-use.
An integral part of the overall strategy is a series of events taking place in the public realm of the neighbourhood (streets, squares, parks) organised by the network, not only for promotional but also community building/supporting purposes.
