LAGO LIFE

SEPTEMBER 2025

From the Executive Director

Dear Members,

It’s a wonderful day at Lago Mar!

Summer is behind us, and we have a beautiful fall season to look forward to. The Founders Course is growing nicely and we should be enjoying it soon.

Over the Spring and Summer, we have seen continued growth in new members. It is very nice to see how they have been so welcomed into the Lago family culture. Thank you!

Ladies Tennis Leagues begin this month. We want to wish all of our teams the best of luck this season! We are proud of you and can’t wait to hear about your successes.

I look forward to seeing you around the Club soon!

From the Director of Agronomy

Dear Members,

As we move into the heart of the rainy season, we want to thank you in advance for your patience with any temporary golf course restrictions. While these may be inconvenient at times, the rainfall provides excellent growing conditions that help the turf recover from our recent aerification work.

You may also notice additional short-grass areas being cut throughout the course. These are intentional and designed to guide play on and off cart paths in proper locations. By doing this, we can better protect our rough and the turf surrounding the greens from unnecessary cart traffic. As a reminder, please obey all areas of the cart restriction to avoid undue maintenance in these areas.

On Sunday, September 8th, we will be applying our next round of preemergent. Please note the course will be closed for the entire day, as any traffic could cause turf damage.

Lastly, the Founders Course is progressing very well with its grow-in phase. We kindly ask that you stay off this area until it is officially ready to open. Your cooperation will help ensure the best possible playing conditions when the course debuts.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to an excellent fall season on the course!

See you on the course,

Dear Members,

As the summer sun begins to mellow and fall approaches, we welcome September with gratitude and anticipation. It’s been a fantastic season so far, and there’s still plenty of great golf ahead!
