Spring term 2026
Our co-curricular programme is designed to enrich your daughter’s LEH experience beyond the classroom. Through a wide range of clubs, pupils have the opportunity to discover new passions, develop skills and build confidence in a supportive environment. These activities encourage teamwork, creativity and resilience, while fostering friendships across year groups. Please encourage your daughter to make the most of what we have on offer.

Unless otherwise indicated, clubs are booked via SOCS and are available at no additional cost.
Some clubs incur an additional cost. Most paid clubs are booked directly with the club provider.
The SOCS booking system for the Spring term clubs will be open from 6pm on Tuesday 9th December until 9am on Friday 12th December 2025.

Should you successfully book a place in a club for your daughter, she will be able to attend that club from the week commencing Monday 12th January 2026
If a club is already full, a waiting list option is available where you may register your daughter’s interest. Should a place become available, you will be notified directly. A SOCS help page is available on the parent portal for further support.

Invitation only
Chamber Groups
The chamber groups meet weekly and are made up of musicians who are grade 5 or above. Pupils are invited to join and are expected to commit to the group for the whole year.
Banging On!
Banging On! is a percussion ensemble for pupils in Upper 1, Lower 2 and Upper 2.
String Ensemble
The string ensemble is open to pupils who are at about grade 3 standard and above. Pupils are invited to join and participate for the whole year. The string ensemble will perform in concerts throughout the year. Rehearsals are weekly.
Jazz Band
Jazz Band is open to any pupil of grade 2 standard and above on an orchestral wind instrument (woodwind or brass). Pupils are expected to commit to the band for the whole year. Jazz Band will perform in concerts through the year. Rehearsals are weekly.
Junior Holles Singers
Pupils are invited to audition for a place in Junior Holles Singers (JHS) once they have been a member of the school choir for three terms. Once a place has been offered and accepted, pupils will be expected to attend two morning rehearsals each week throughout the academic year. JHS proudly perform in concerts.
String Superheroes
Beginners in violin, viola and 'cello are invited to participate in String Superheroes. The String Superheroes perform to audiences at our annual Christmas Concert and Arts Festival.
L2 and U2 Swim Squad
Running before school, morning Swim Squad is invitation only and is for Lower 2 and Upper 2 pupils. Pupils are prepared for competitions by gaining experience at swimming galas. The PE teachers monitor all the pupils in swimming lessons and based on this, some pupils will be invited to specific swimming training clubs. Regular attendance and commitment are required to ensure invitations to galas.

Active Maths
Active Maths is a fun maths club open to Form 1 and Upper 1 pupils which is run by the Sixth Form Maths Mentors. These mentors are passionate about maths and are excited to get our Junior School pupils involved in a variety of maths games and activities.
ArtSparks
ArtSparks is run by an enthusiastic team of LEH Sixth Form History of Art students whose aim is to inspire a love of art. Each week pupils will learn about an artist, painting or movement as inspiration for them to make their own creations.
Badminton
Come to Badminton to learn the skills of this fun and exciting game. You will learn skills to play in both singles and doubles games.
Board Games
Board Games club is open to all pupils in the Junior School. Pupils are given the opportunity to explore classics and new favourites, build teamwork and sharpen problem-solving skills in a friendly, engaging environment each week.

Cheerleading
Fun and fast with lots of teamwork! Learn to bring your gymnastic skills together as a team and enjoy learning to new skills such as lifts, basket toss and cradle!
Chess
Chess players of all skill and experience level are welcome at our lunchtime Chess club, where strategy meets creativity! Whether you’re a beginner or a budding grandmaster, you’ll learn new moves, challenge your friends and sharpen your thinking skills. Come along, enjoy the game, and discover the excitement of chess!

Choir
The Junior School Choir is open to all pupils in the school who enjoy singing. Pupils are invited to join andparticipatefor the entire year. The Junior School Choir will perform in concerts throughout the year. Rehearsals are weekly.
Comic Club
Do you love stories and drawing? Then the Comic Club is the perfect place for you. Learn how to design characters, create exciting plots and bring your own comic books to life. This term, Comic Club is open to pupils in Lower 2 and Upper 2.

Computer Science
Step into the world of creativity and code at our lunchtime Computer Science club!All Form 1 and Upper 1 pupils are welcome to get hands-on with exciting programs and gadgets to build projects that move, draw, buzz, and blink. From playful algorithms to eye-catching animations, there’s something for every curious mind. Come along, have fun, and unlock the magic of what you can make with code.
Dance

Pupils in Form 1 and Upper 1 with a passion for dance are invited to join the Dance club. Pupils will have the chance to explore a variety of dance styles, and no prior experience is required.
Debating lunchtime clubs
Find your voice in Lower 2 Debating club! This exciting lunchtime club debates a different motion (topic) every week and is a good forum for developing those public speaking skills and the confidence to stand up and argue your point in front of others.

Upper 2 pupils are invited to take part in lively discussions on a range of topics with our Sixth Form debate specialists from the Model UN Club. This club introduces formal debating structures and techniques, helping students develop wellreasoned arguments and present them confidently in speeches.
Drama

Our brand new Lower School Drama club introduces Form 1 and Upper 1 pupils to the stage! Get involved with practical games and drama workshop activities, designed to boost confidence and performance skills.
Older pupils are welcome to join our Upper School Drama club! Participate in fun games, creative improvisation, and work together to rehearse and perform a short Easter play for the rest of the school to enjoy. Build confidence in this fun and inclusive club!

Ecology

This Spring term, Ecology club welcomes budding conservationists from Form 1 and Upper 1. Pupils will explore a variety of organisms and their habitats, taking advantage of the rich wildlife on site from birds to mini-beasts. Activities include investigating pond life, searching under logs, and helping to develop the garden to attract even more species.
French, German and Spanish
Would you like to improve your speaking and understanding of French, German or Spanish? Our three language clubs for beginners, run by specialist Language Assistants from the Senior School, offer an excellent way to learn and gain confidence. Activities include songs and games. These clubs run for the whole term, and we expect pupils to commit to every session.
Gym
Lunchtime gym clubs are open to certain year groups on different days. Led by our specialist gymnastics coach, pupils will refine their skills and learn new ones. Our young gymnasts will work in pairs and groups to learn collaboration and performance skills too, building up to more complex and challenging skills!

Musical Theatre
Musical Theatre club is an excellent opportunity to explore creativity through singing, dancing and acting. Our various lunchtime Musical Theatre clubs are well underway and continue their preparations towards their performance at the end of the Summer term.
As Musical Theatre continues for the year, pupils who participated in the Autumn term will be automatically enrolled for the Spring term.

Netball
Lunchtime netball clubs are open to F1 and U1 pupils during specified sessions. All pupils are welcome to come and improve their netball skills. All sessions are designed to help to improve pupils’ fitness levels, games awareness and experience competition.

Rock Star
This is music-making in a more contemporary style for all those budding rock stars. Rehearsals for the different groups are on Thursday lunchtimes in the music room depending on which group a pupil has been allocated to. All instrumentalists, grade 2 and above, are invited to join.

Running
Fun on the run! Build your confidence by working on your running technique and stamina. Spring term brings the arrival of a new running club for pupils in Form 1 and Upper 1.
STEM
STEM club is open to Form 1 and Upper 1 pupils. Pupils will explore a range of challenges and activities in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. Activities will often be hands-on and will involve working with others to solve problems. STEM club will be run for the whole term by our Sixth Form STEM Ambassadors.
Swim Squad
Lunchtime Swim Squad is for Upper 1 pupils only. The PE teachers closely and regularly monitor all the pupils in their swimming lessons and based on this, some pupils will be invited to specific swimming training clubs. In the club, pupils are prepared for competitions and invited to gain additional experience by attending swimming galas when they are ready. Regular attendance and commitment are required to ensure invitations to galas.

Swim Squad Development
Lunchtime Development squad is an invite only club for pupils in Upper 1, Lower 2 and Upper 2. The PE teachers monitor girls closely in curriculum lessons and may invite them to these sessions to fine tune their techniques and skills. These girls may be called upon to swim in school galas should members of the swimming squad be unavailable.
Symphony Orchestra
Symphony Orchestra is open to all pupils of grade 3 standard and above on an orchestral instrument (not piano or guitar). Pupils are invited to join and participate for the whole year. Symphony Orchestra will perform in concerts through the year. Rehearsals are weekly.
Tag Rugby
Tag rugby is a fun, non-contact version of rugby suitable for all ages. It is a great introduction to the sport. As well as playing games of tag rugby, the children will be learning rugby basics like passing, positioning and teamwork.

The Art of Science
Pupils will explore the beauty of science in various different ways. For example, sketching animals and creating outdoor masterpieces. This club blends observation with imagination, experimenting with shapes, mediums and ideas, as science isn’t just learned, it’s experienced.
Touch Typing
Touch Typing offers pupils the chance to improve their typing speed and accuracy in a relaxed setting. Pupils can come along at any time to practise using fun, interactive exercises designed to build confidence and efficiency at the keyboard. Pupils do not need to book in advance for this club. There is a limit of 24 computers, so admission will be on a first come, first served basis.
Training Orchestra
Training Orchestra is for pupils who play an orchestral instrument (not piano or guitar) and are not yet at grade 3 standard. This ensemble will prepare pupils for entry to Symphony Orchestra with other pupils selected from Symphony Orchestra to act as their mentors. Rehearsals are weekly.

Yoga
Yoga for children has many benefits to supporting positive mental health. Children are taught ways in which they may manage stress through healthy movement, body awareness, breathing techniques and meditation. By learning how to use their bodies in a healthy way, each pupil can develop a sense of belonging and become part of a healthy, non-competitive group. This in turn helps to build concentration and increase confidence and positive self-image, in a safe and nurturing environment. We learn in a fun and creative space through games and individual challenges.

After school clubs
Art
Open to all pupils, Art club invites pupils to discover their creativity in a welcoming, enjoyable environment. Each term, children work on exciting projects and explore a wide range of artistic techniques and materials. This is a wonderful opportunity for them to develop confidence and express themselves through art.
Coding


iting opportunity to dive into the world of programming. ldren take part in a variety of hands-on coding projects that em-solving skills. They’ll also gain experience with innovative Microbits, helping them build confidence and a deeper ogy.
Cookery
Cookery club is run by Kiddy Cook who inspire young people to have fun with food and help them make informed choices towards a healthy lifestyle. Each week, children will make a dish from scratch to take home along with a recipe card enabling them to recreate their masterpieces time and time again! Classes last for 1 hour and are booked in blocks per school term. Each block will consist of both sweet and savoury dishes but will always follow the principles of healthy eating.

Gardening
After the February half term break, Gardening will resume for the Spring season! Using the gardens around the school, pupils have fun learning about growing plants. Activities include: planting seeds of flowering plants and vegetables, nurturing them, discovering the trees and plants in the school grounds, watching the changes in the seasons and discovering the effects on plants, having fun in our outdoor spaces.

Glee
Glee club is an informal sing-along club. Join us for pop songs and songs from shows. No experience necessary, just a willingness to join in and have fun!
Gym Squad
After school Gym Squad is by invitation only. Pupils will be selected from gym clubs to develop their gymnastics skills at a more advanced level.

Mindful Creativity
In Mindful Creativity club, as the name suggests, pupils will be learning about different ways they can engage in mindful and creative activities which they may wish to use beyond the school day. There will be variety of ideas on offer and we will use the outdoor spaces whenever the weather allows.

Netball
After school Netball club is available to Lower 2 and Upper 2 pupils on separate day. Each session helps pupils develop essential ball-handling skills, improve footwork, passing and deepen their understanding of game strategies. Alongside skill-building drills, pupils will take part in fun mini-matches to put their learning into practice. This club is perfect for fostering teamwork, confidence, and a love for the sport.
Outdoor Games and Football
In the first part of the Spring term, pupils will enjoy a range of outdoor games, with a varied, fun programme of activities suited to the winter months.
After the half term break, this becomes Football club. Through supportive caching, pupils will develop fundamental skills such as passing, moving into space, as well as game related activities. This club will focus on pupils’ understanding of games situations, co-ordination and body control.

Weaving Club offers a calm, creative space to explore the art of weaving. This activity encourages mindfulness and fine motor skills while fostering imagination and design thinking. Pupils will learn a range of techniques using materials to produce unique textures and patterns, working on a variety of crafting projects over time. The club is perfect for anyone who enjoys hands-on creativity and wants to see their ideas come to life through beautiful woven creations.

Zentangle

Zentangle club is a fun and friendly space where pupils can enjoy the art of doodling. Each week, we explore simple patterns to create unique and interesting designs. The club also offers a relaxed atmosphere to chat with friends while creating together.
