HE 50TH ANNIVERSARY GALA OF the St. Louis Classical Guitar Society featured a range of performances, including students from the St. Louis Academy for Guitar, Douglas Niedt, Kirk Hanser and John McClellan and others, along with an address by honorary chair, acclaimed classical guitarist Christopher Parkening. Held at Missouri Athletic Club, the event celebrated the founding of the George C. Krick Classic Guitar Guild of St. Louis, which became the St. Louis Classical Guitar Society. Guests also enjoyed an in-depth video retrospective of the guitar in St. Louis. More photos on page 72
