UIL STARS! On Saturday, March 24th, Stacey students travelled to Medina for the 29-A UIL High School District Academic Meet. Coached by Mr. Keller, Ms. Wann, and Ms. Jackson, six students competed in the areas of Computer Science, Number Sense, Calculator Applications, and Science. In Computer Science, David Lipsey placed 2nd and Ahmawan Johnson placed 3rd. In Calculator Applications, Ryan Berry placed 5th and David Lipsey placed 6th. The Science Team placed 2nd overall with Tatiana Tway placing 1st overall and Ahmawan Johnson receiving the top biology score and placing 3rd overall.
Based on their individual performances, Ahmawan Johnson, Tatiana Tway, and David Lipsey will advance to the regional meet on April 20th in Brenham. Congratulations to all of the participants, and good luck at Regionals!
