Cuvettes/Calibration standards

2 For more articles see our Laboratory Catalogue from page 1057 onwards

Secondary standards for calibrating spectrophotometers With certified calibration standards it’s simply measuring with the utmost confidence. In the long run spectrophotometers will only provide correct results if they are calibrated regularly. With liquid and glass filter calibration standards from the accredited Hellma Analytics Calibration Laboratory, the traceability of calibrations carried out to references of the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) is ensured. Advantages: - Reliability and comparability of measurement results - Increase of your quality of work and regulation conformity - High process transparency - Simple compliance with quality requirements e.g. ISO 9000, GLP, GMP or the most important Pharmacopoeias (EP, DAB, USP) Check for stray light Type

The improved perform

ance

Pipette Leak Testing Unit (PLT unit) Improved process reliability with functional validation of air-displacement pipettes. The most frequent cause of inaccuracy in piston-operated pipettes is leakage. This arises from damage either to the seals, pistons or tip cones. Often not detectable by the naked eye, leaks lead to significant volume errors. The BRAND pipette leak tester (PLT unit) for air displacement pipettes finds even the smallest leaks within seconds. - Limit values for the commercially available single and multichannel pipettes in the volume range 1µl to 10ml are pre-programmed. - Testing with and without tips - Test results in seconds - Patent pending

2 years warranty

According to monitoring of measuring instruments, air-displacement pipettes must be checked at regular intervals and the results must be compared with the ISO 8655-2 error limits. However, a calibration certificate only reflects the results at the time of testing. The time between these calibrations is crucial, since leaks can occur at any time. Well over 80% of pipettes sent in for repair have leaks and are outside their volume tolerances, even if they do not drip. While the PLT unit cannot replace regular gravimetric testing, daily pipette checks can provide a safeguard during the periods between calibrations. Even the smallest leaks are detected. Process reliability for the pipettes is thus significantly improved.

LLG-Electrical pipette pump plus This ergonomic pipette controller is lightweight, made from UV resistant material, features adjustable valves and is microprocessor controlled for reliability and accuracy. The powerful pump offers rapid yet sensitive aspiration and dispensing. Filling and dispensing speed is easily set using the same hand by pressing the large control button. The bright LED display will indicate which of the three modes has been selected, High, Low or Gravity Mode. The user labeling area enables customisation, instant recognition and/or task designation. Additional features include hand neutral design, concave padded triggers, a 1ml pipette adapter to increase stability of small pipettes, a long life Li-Ion battery that allows 20 hours of continuous usage, low battery indicator and two holders as standard

+++ Soft touch triggers +++ Long life, easily changeable rechargeable battery +++ Sensitive and adjustable aspiration and dispensing +++ Labeling area for identification For 1-100ml glass or plastic pipettes Uses standard 0.45µm hydrophobic filters Delivered completely with universal voltage, plug faced charger, bench stand and magnetic/fixable wall mount. 5 different coloured autoclavable nose pieces as standard included. -CAP With VENT

DescProtect is a durable paper which quickly absorbs liquid spills. The PE-coated base layer stops liquids reaching the work surface.

VITsafe™ safety wash bottles, PP/PE-LD PP or PE-LD printed with safety information in accordance with regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (GHS) and Vent-Cap screw cap. Dispensing tube with PP tip to optimise the backflow of the medium. The lack of a spray insert and the smooth moulding of the inner tube surface make it possible to avoid almost all turbulence in the liquid. Permanent printed labelling information stating the statutory information required in accordance with GHS, as well as all important information: quadrilingual chemical name in German, English, French and Spanish, chemical formula, CAS number, hazard pictogram, signal word, hazard statements - H-phrases, precautionary statements - P-phrases plus NFPA code. PP bottles are autoclavable (at 121°C for 20mins.)
