HOW DO I JOIN LAKE CHURCH? Being a partner of Lake Church is more than just attending a worship service on Sunday morning. A partner is a follower of Jesus. We are Christians who have been baptized and are committed to joining a spiritual family providing support, and holding each other to a biblical level of responsibility, service, and sacrifice.

KNOWING JESUS AND BECOMING A CHRISTIAN AGREE
with God you are a sinner.
Jesus died for you and rose from the dead.
to Jesus He is Lord and Savior.
PRAY “Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the grave, so I might have eternal life with You. I trust You for my salvation and will follow You as Your disciple. Thank you, Jesus. Amen”
WHAT IS BAPTISM?
Baptism is a step of obedience by a follower of Christ and their community. It is a testimony of faith symbolizing a person’s union with Christ. We conduct baptisms regularly throughout the year in our worship services.
We hold baptismal classes throughout the year for any Christian to follow Christ in baptism. This is a great way to understand what the Scripture teaches about baptism and become familiar with Lake Church's baptism process. 7
What is a partner?
What is the Gospel?
What is Lake Church's Discipleship Loop?
Being a part of a Local Church.
1. WHAT IS A PARTNER? Our conviction at Lake Church partnership should be held in high esteem. We see in Scripture partnering together is a vital part of God’s global mission to share the gospel with all people. Individuals who have received Jesus as their Lord and Savior and who have followed Christ in believer’s baptism are welcomed into the family here at Lake Church. Together, we will grow and serve on mission as one body.
2. WHAT IS THE GOSPEL? God, who is perfect and holy,
everything. His design includes you and me. Sinful people fall away from God. Everything is broken, all is fractured. Christ Jesus’ death and resurrection allows for our reconciliation with God. All of us need to respond in faith to the gospel and continue to do so until Jesus returns.
3. LAKE CHURCH DISCIPLESHIP LOOP Jesus said in Matthew 4:19, “Come, follow Me and I will make you f ishers of men.” Therefore, we def ine a disciple as one who is committed to... Abiding in Jesus
Being changed by Jesus
Being on mission for Jesus
4. BEING A PART OF A LOCAL CHURCH
Partnering communicates devotion to God, His Word, & His Church And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. - Acts 2: 42-44
Partnering reflects belonging to a family So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God. - Ephesians 2:19
Partnering encourages accountability & support Brothers and sisters, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. - Galatians 6:1-2
Partnering helps identify "the flock" So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed: shepherd the flock of God that is among you. - 1 Peter 5:1-2
Partnering means we are strategically deployed on mission All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. - Matthew 26: 18-20
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. - Acts 1:7

IN RECREATION MINISTRY
We are usually the first group our members and guests see on a Sunday. We offer a friendly smile, wave, and hello to all. We would love for you to drive the carts with us.
We would love for you to join us in passing out bulletins and welcoming people as they enter the building. If guests need assistance finding their way around, we are here to help.
Our goal is to help you discover your next steps here at Lake Church. We can connect you to a connection group or ministry team and provide resources for your spiritual development.
We utilize sports and exercise to engage the community. If you enjoy coaching and connection with people through the common love of sports, this might be the place for you.
AS AN USHER
We are stationed around the worship center ready to help guests find a seat. We are the group helping collect the offering and joyfully assisting with whatever is needed.
WE LOVE TO GIVE Jesus taught love is evident in the way we spend our money. Here at Lake Church, we seek to live by our church's purpose statement: Glorify God. Pursue People. We believe to fully Glorify God, a financial commitment is involved. God sacrificed His only Son, so as believers, we sacrifice our time, talents, and money to him. This sacrificial giving is what allows the church to pursue people. We see this in Psalms 24:1, Malachi 3:8-10, and 2 Corinthians 8-9.
LAKE CHURCH & THE SOUTHERN BAPTIST COOPERATIVE PROGRAM
2 WAYS YOU CAN GIVE OFFERING ENVELOPE check or cash
The cooperative program is a joint effort of Southern Baptist churches across the United States to fund mission endeavors we as an individual church could not support on our own. Cooperative dollars support and fund over 5000 full-time and 3000 part-time missionaries-in over 125 countries and over 200 missionaries across North America. Half of these funds go to the International Mission Board for overseas mission work. The other half of the funds go to the North American Mission Board and other Southern Baptist entities.
THE LAKE COVENANT Who we are
e are a people committed to Jesus Christ through prayer, discipleship, radiant hospitality, planting churches, and transforming communities. Because of this, we worship together regularly with our brothers and sisters in Christ at Lake Church. We uphold Lake Church's doctrinal beliefs and joyfully support the church through generous offerings. We pray for each other: the unity, health, and growth of our church. We are active in our connection groups and encourage others, always seeking to relentlessly resolve relational conict. We develop and disciple one another to lead and serve in ministry. We share the gospel in practical and verbal ways, expressing Biblical hospitality as we serve our church, our neighborhoods, and the nations. We would love for you to join us in this calling.
GLORIFY GOD. PURSUE PEOPLE.
