Centre Court Athletic Club The Centre Court Athletic Club (CCAC) is a community facility, owned and operated by the Hanover Park Park District. We offer the finest in services and facilities for fitness, health, racquetball and tennis for the entire family all at reasonable rates. Stop by or call us for a tour. Racquetball and Tennis court time may be reserved on a permanent basis for three sessions per year by filling out a permanent court time contract. You never need to call, just come in and your court is waiting. When you reserve permanent court time you receive the following benefits: Reduced hourly rate by $1.00. Guaranteed reservation. Racquetball Court Fees

Registration for tennis classes is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Weekdays Members do not pay an hourly fee. Non-members must pay the listed court rates. Non-members playing with members must pay their portion of the court time used.

Students or participants must pay the full price of an individual drill, lesson or clinic regardless of showing up late to a class or leaving early. If a lesson participant misses a class, he or she may make it up during the current session with tennis pro approval only. Missed classes may not be carried over into a new session. Please call for information regarding USTA adult leagues, junior tournaments and women’s / men’s NITTL leagues. All classes, regardless of age, are based upon ability and skill level.

Wallyball Court Fee Wallyball brings the explosive fun of volleyball into the competitive closeness of the racquetball court. Great party game for up to 8 people! What Centre Court Athletic Club has to Offer… Aerobic Studio This 2500 sq. ft. studio features wood flooring, mirrors and a state-of-the-art sound system. Fitness Center This 2400 sq. ft. center features state-of-the-art resistance & cardiovascular equipment and a fully equipped 600 sq. ft. free weight room. Handicap Accessibility The Park District and the CCAC are handicapped accessible and comply with A.D.A. standards. The elevator is accessible from all 3 levels and is available for public use. Locker Rooms, Whirlpools & Saunas Club members will enjoy the clean and spacious men’s & women’s locker rooms, each with its own whirlpool and sauna. Lounge and Snack Bar The central core of the club includes a lounge area complete with a big screen TV where members and guests may relax after a hard workout. Kids Korner Service Kids Korner service is available to program participants who utilize the Centre Court Athletic Club. The Kids Korner, located next to the Aerobic Studio, is available Monday-Friday from 9A 3P (by appointment only). Pro Shop The latest in tennis, racquetball, fitness equipment and accessories are available through our ProShop at competitive prices. A professional racquet stringing & gripping service is also available. Racquetball Courts The four racquetball courts offer hardwood floors and complete climate control for year round playing comfort. Tennis Courts Our 10 indoor tennis courts feature the “Chevron Laykold¨ surface which offers a true bounce and minimum leg fatigue to players of every ability level. Four of the indoor courts are air-conditioned for your summertime comfort. Refund, Cancellation & Transfer Policy: Please see page 50 for the policy of the Hanover Park Park District. Court Reservations & Cancellations Members may reserve court time up to seven days in advance. Cancellation of court time must be made at least 24 hours in advance of play. Members are responsible for court fees if for any reason they wish to cancel less than 24 hours and the court cannot be sold. Members who make reservations and fail to show are responsible for the cost of the court and are charged accordingly. Guest Policy Non-members who wish to utilize the tennis and racquetball courts are responsible for $6/$8 guest fee. Non-members using the fitness center, whirlpool and sauna only, will be responsible for an $8/$10 guest fee. Monthly Play Pass If playing a lot of tennis is high on your priority list you can’t go wrong by purchasing a Play Pass. Reservations may be made up to 48 hours in advance, initially for one-and-a-half hours of tennis. If the court is available at the end of that time, please contact the customer service desk to see if the court is still available. Non-play pass holders must pay their portion of the court time fees. A valid CCAC membership is required to purchase a play pass. The play pass is available during the following hours: Weekdays from 5:30A to 5P. Play pass fee: Tennis $60/month

Centre Court Athletic Club Membership Information CCAC offers two types of memberships for your specific athletic club needs. Our “club membership” is an all inclusive membership that covers the three main aspects of the club; tennis, fitness and racquetball. Our “fitness membership” is the same as the “club membership” except it eliminates the tennis aspect of the club.

Membership Options • Family Memberships include husband, wife, and members of the immediate family who are age 21 and under and who reside at the same residence. •

Junior Memberships are available for individuals age 17 and under. Fitness center usage requires an orientation session for youths ages 11-15, at which time a parent or legal guardian must be in attendance. Any subsequent use of the fitness equipment by youth ages 11-13 must be under the supervision of the parent or legal guardian. Youth ages 11-15 will not be allowed to use the free weight area. The fitness center will only be open to youths ages 11-15 at the following times:

The yearly membership fee must be at least $130 to qualify for the Auto-Debit payment plan.

• Senior Citizen Memberships are available to anyone age 60 and over.

This camp is designed for those participants of high school varsity tennis teams, current USTA or grand prix tournament players and participants of CCAC’s JD Elite and Tournament Select Academy lesson plan. The primary focus will be on high level instruction of advanced techniques, skills, footwork and strategy. Significant emphasis will be put on shot selection, weapon development and point play. One camp t-shirt will be provided to each participant.

This camp continues to develop the basic tennis skills while expanding shot selections. We will focus on adding various spins, improve consistency and add more direction to our ground strokes while developing transition shots, correct volleying and serve grips and court positioning. This camp will consist of both instruction and fun, skill developing games with some emphasis on point play. (Equivalent to QS Green III, JD Blue, JD Brown, JD Black, JD Purple, and JD Purple Aces). One camp t-shirt will be provided to each participant.

Centre Court Athletic Club Unlimited Group Fitness Classes Classes are held in the Community Center Aerobics Studio for ages 14 & up. Children will not be allowed in the studio during classes. Drop-in fees are paid directly to the CCAC front desk prior to the start of class. Showers and lockers are available for use in the Athletic Club on the lower level. 1. Kid’s Korner service is available Monday through Friday, 9A to 3P. For additional Kid’s Korner service information, see page 48. 2. Participants must register and sign a waiver prior to the first day of the session. 3. Participants must bring their own floor mats to fitness classes. 4. There will be no prorating of classes. 5. There is no “making up” of classes that are missed. 6. Class Cancellation policy: If no one shows up after 10 minutes, the class for that day is cancelled; any group exercise class may be cancelled or altered due to low attendance; any class with an average of five or fewer participants will be flagged and may be cancelled next session from the list of unlimited group fitness or changed to a registration class. 7. If doing a drop in, a receipt must be given to the instructor, before class, to participate.

Centre Court Athletic Club Class Descriptions Kickboxing Jam Intro to cardio kickboxing. There is less intensity and this class is slower paced than our Cardio Kickboxing class Power Sculpt A total body conditioning workout using a variety of equipment (dumbbells, stability balls, step board, etc.). Improve your muscular strength and endurance. Increase your metabolism and build bone density. Bring a water bottle, towel and a mat. Diesel Fit Interval training consisting of high-rep low weight strength training and cardio interval bursts. Come prepared to sweat and blow off steam! Intermediate to advanced levels. Stretch Class If you are starting out with exercise, worked out already but want to add an active stretch program in between workouts or want to unkink before the next class then this is what you need to get your body in shape for exercise. Cardio Fusion This endurance training class will work all the muscle groups, raise your heart rate, burn calories and increase bone density. 3 to 10 lb dumbbells will be used. “TEENS” Fitness

Meet one-on-one with the Personal Trainer to determine your current fitness level and discuss your personal goals. This onehour session will determine:

Intro to Fitness Class This three-session class will cover fundamentals of exercise using the fitness center equipment (does not include the weight room), get a workout while learning, and be tested to determine understanding of safety and proper use of equipment. The member will meet once a week either in a group or one-on-one. Punch Card System

Purchase a punch card at the Centre Court Athletic Club during regular hours of operation. Users must have a punch card on file or purchase one before using the Kid’s Korner. If you have an appointment and are unable to attend, you must call to cancel by 7 am the morning of your appointment or you will be charged for the reserved time. Participants must make appointments by calling the Centre Court Athletic Club 24 hours in advance. Staff will stay 15 minutes past your scheduled appointment. If you are running late, please call to insure your appointment. If you are a regular user of the Kid’s Korner, you may pre-book your reservation 2 weeks in advance.

Members of households with a delinquent outstanding balance shall not be allowed to register for park district programs or facilities until said balance is paid in full.

Requests must be made in person. A $5 fee will apply for most transfers. A $10 fee will apply for Preschool, After School Club, Before School Club and day camp programs.

The Youth Activity Supplement Program (Y.A.P.), sponsored by the Village of Hanover Park offers residents who experience undue hardship, an opportunity to enroll their children in recreation programs. For more information call Gina MastroStrickler at (630)837-2468, Ext. 121.

Residents and Non Resident Rates A “resident” is defined as anyone living within the geographical boundaries of the Hanover Park Park District. Residents in Hanover Park Park District have priority for limited programs. You may be required to pay the non-resident fee even though you live in Hanover Park because the boundaries of the village are not the same as the boundaries of the Park District. Non-residents may register for programs for a fee that is 50% percent higher than the resident fee or $15 over the resident fee, whichever is the smaller amount.

Refund Policy Refunds will not be granted for class(es) missed or forgotten. All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing. Forms for refunds are available at the Park District office. Refunds requested for a program prior to the start of a class will be assessed a $5 fee. A request for a refund after the program begins, but prior to the 2nd meeting, will also be assessed an additional prorated fee based upon the per class cost. NO refunds will be granted after the 2nd class with the exception of a written medical excuse with the fee based on the prorated cost per class and the normal service fee. Refunds for trips will not be given unless the trip is canceled by the Park District or a replacement is found to take the trip. A $10 refund fee applies for Preschool, After School Club, Before School Club, and day camp programs.

Accessibility The Hanover Park Park District, Centre Court Athletic Club and all other facilities are accessible and comply with A.D.A. standards. The elevator in the Community Center is accessible from all three levels and is available for public use.

Program Code of Conduct To ensure enjoyable and safe programs for all participants, the Hanover Park Park District has developed a behavior code. Participants shall: • Show respect to all participants and staff • Refrain from using foul language • Refrain from causing bodily harm

Photo Policy

The Hanover Park Park District reserves the right to photograph or videotape participants in Park District programs, facilities or parks for the District's use.

Additional rules are developed for specific programs as deemed necessary by staff. Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in removal from program or event without refund.
