The Belle Époque era in Europe is considered a golden age when both the arts and sciences flourished. Among the most imposing is the former Palace Mont-Pelerin, a legendary structure that for 150 years was graced with many famous visitors such as the author, Victor Hugo, Barons and Baronesses from Paris, and a stream of Russian aristocrats.



In 1906 the Palace was recast into The Palace Pèlerin Hotel Baumaroche and remained as a hotel (though with different ownership) for the next century. In 1931, Hanz Leuenberg, a Swiss German, acquired it and changed the name to Hotel Du Parc. He later left it to his daughter, Daisy Chappex. Daisy and her husband lovingly restored the mansion and it was held and managed by the Chappex family for five decades until its rebirth as a hotel school in 2000. In 2008, Swiss Development Group (SDG) bought the hotel and in collaboration with the Monuments et Sites du Canton de Vaud, undertook a monumental renovation with the vision of transforming the illustrious structure into 24 private residences, each fully serviced by the world-renowned 5-star Kempinski brand. The roof and façade have been remodeled to reflect their Belle Epoque heritage. The beams, mirrors, paneling, and the dramatic central staircase have been redressed back to their former glory; and the original lobby tiles have been integrated into the space. All painstakingly fitted with Swiss and European joinery and craftsmanship, these residences are the first of their kind in Switzerland offering a sense of effortless living in a setting of iconic beauty both inside and out.

There are 24 Du Parc Kempinski Private Residences, varying in size from 200m2 two bedrooms to 690m2 six bedrooms, including three show-stopping penthouses. Each home offers extraordinary southfacing views of Lake Geneva. The window treatments have been carefully sourced to reflect the beauty of the original façade and to allow each home to be bathed in a luminous expanse of light. All residences feature outdoor access to terraces, with balconies on the lower floors providing access to private gardens. The finish was executed by an international team of joiners and carpenters from Italy along with the best of Swiss engineering. The result is 24 homes of superlative craftsmanship and a complement of world-class amenities that together create a sense of effortless, elegant living.



INTERIOR DESIGN Internationally acclaimed interior designers BBG-BBGM have meticulously studied the space, light and volume of the apartment shells to take full advantage of the magnificent structure and setting. The wide, sweeping central staircase provides a dramatic constant, and with Bespoke Italian joinery and exacting in-builts, the care and artistry of the renovation is evident down to the last detail.
