6PM — At the Café Bohemian (Decca)

9PM — Wednesday Night Live

It’s music of, by, from, and near the rest of the world. Cuban jazz, Japanese pop, Nigerian blues; mostly upbeat, never predictable, always different.

Local bands perform live in KZSU’s studio! See page 5 for schedule.

9PM — Lick My Moody Guitar Show (The Bawd of Euphony)

Sometimes when I stretch, I stretch hoping to divide. I wouldn’t mind dressing in green if I thought that you’d understand what I mean.

The Bawd plays moody guitar music from all over the cosmos. From the avant garde to folk music, if it has six strings and is in a minor key expect to hear it. Live performances and interviews, and moody commentary run rampant. Prepare to lick guitar, lick it and like it!

MIDNIGHT — The Panoply (Peter) The panoply features a wide array of music, new and old. With its roots in the blues (including a blues hour), the show embraces folk, rock, classic rock, jazz, and whatever sounds good.

WEDNESDAY 6AM — Bigger than Bollywood (Manoneet & Mamta) From ghazals to quawali and bhangra to ragas, Bigger than Bollywood is your three-hour weekly window into the fascinating music of the Indian subcontinent.

9AM — Afropean Gamut (Popcorn) African rhythm, noise and pitchbend fuses with European melody and harmony to rock the world. Rock, jazz, blues, funk.

1PM — The Sun Never Sets on Cool (Orges) This stuff will warp your mind, put you into a trance, and alter your perception of reality. Or maybe it’ll just make your head explode. At any rate, BYOLSD.

5PM — Brownian Motion (Your Imaginary Friend) Bend over for a weekly aural spanking: noise, punk, comedy, dark noir, ballsout rockin, and Zeppelin at 45. Mostly new releases, including a live-music report by Harry Nutts. Better than a beer-bong enema.

THURSDAY 6AM — I Once Was Canadian (Canuck) Indie rock, indie pop, neo-folk, post rock, buzzword, buzzword, lappop, buzzword buzzword, leaning toward the melancholy.
