Hey Everyone! I know there has been an extremely large amount of time since you received an update on me, and I apologize! Life has been amazing to say the least, as well as hard, challenging, rewarding, and fun! As you all know, I have been doing a school called the Chronological School of Biblical Studies here at YWAM Los Angeles, and for the past 6 months, my classmates and I have been going through all 39 books of the Old Testament. We ’ v e s t u d i e d t h e m f r o m beginning to end, Genesis to Malachi, in chronological order of when they were written as well as what time period they were written in or to. It has been a crazy 6 months filled with lots of homework, great friends, and revelation upon revelation from God about his word and his plan for me, as well as his heart for his people. On Monday we started our 3rd and final quarter, and we’re all so pumped to finally get to the New Testament and “meet”

The future depends on what we do in the present. -Mahatma Gandhi

Jesus! It feels like the past 6 months have all been leading up to this finally quarter, where we can finally meet the Messiah we’ve been hearing about all these months. Of course, we all already know him in our hearts, but I’m excited to dig deeper into His Word and learn more about his character and how I can grow to be more like Him! Thank you all for your prayers during this time I’m so blessed to be doing this school, with friends and staff who are so wonderful! Thank you to all of you who have supported me financially, and thank you to all of you who have supported me through prayers. I know God will bless your for your blessings to me. You are in my prayers. May God continue to bless you for your service to His Kingdom! Even if it feels like all you’ve done recently is pray, you are still so valuable to Jesus and his Kingdom, and he adores you! Thank you all for loving me, and being an example to me in love and faith and trust! God Bless You!

Ky’s Adventures Spring 2010

Other Things I’ve been up to in the past 6 months:

September: Started CSBS with a bang, making new friends, enjoying spending time in the Word, and beginning this season of live. October: Still trudging through SBS, probably wishing I could quit with the amount of homework and work we have to do, but finding a light in the storm, and peace, knowing this is where Iʼm supposed to be. November: No- shave November came with no surprise, just lots of FUTURE: PLEASE PRAY FOR MY fuzzy faces, and dull razors. Thanksgiving I was able to travel home FUTURE AND WHAT GOD HAS with some of my friends, Stanley and Kimberly Harris, and their PLANNED FOR ME. I WOULD REALLY daughter Szyan, as well as my roommate Melissa. It was wonderful to LOVE TO STAFF THE DTS IN THE FALL, BUT ALSO WANT TO FOLLOW GOD’S spend a long weekend at home with family and friends! PLAN, IF HE’S LEADING ME December: December dawned bright, sunny, and warm, which might DIFFERENTLY. have been odd, only this is southern California, and we LAerʼs know never to trust the weather. I turned the big 21 and spent the evening FINANCIAL SUPPORT: PLEASE PRAY ABOUT SUPPORTING ME FINANCIALLY. out in Glendale with a bunch of friends, eating cheesecake, and I STILL NEED $1400 FOR MY FINAL 3 watching man-made snow fall in the road. Christmas break was much MONTHS OF SCHOOL, AS WELL AS needed and refreshing, and was spent at home with my family, as well SUMMER STAFF FEES AND PERSONAL as with Melissa, Stanley, Kim, Szyan, and one of my classmates NEEDS. I’VE LOST MOST OF MY MONTHLY SUPPORTERS, SO I ASK YOU Synnøve, who is from Norway. It was fun having everyone in the TO PRAY ABOUT SUPPORTING ME! house, spending time and trading Christmas traditions. January: As with any vacation, it always seems like you need a vacation from your vacation, but I was ready to jump back into the Bible, excited to dig deep into the Prophets and prophesies about Jesus. The 2nd quarter has probably been the hardest thus far, mainly due to the fact of the heavy emotional involvement (as well as huge workload) for books such as Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel. We had fun doing skits and being silly, and spending more time together when we werenʼt stressing over homework. February: We welcomed the shortest month of the year with lots of rain, and of course, still lots of homework. I found out that I was going to go on a short spring break mission trip to Cerro Azul, Mexico, and we began to prepare. March: March seems to be the have been the most adventurous month yet, (although that might just be because weʼre still in it, and itʼs hard thinking back through the others ;)) On the 11th I sent off with a team of 8 to Cerro Azul, Veracruz, Mexico, where we worked with the YWAM base there, teaching pastors and church leaders the bible, and going through the theme of identity with them. All us students taught a book, and had a great time relaxing with our host family. As soon as we got back to the states, I hurried home to Sacramento where I surprised my family for the weekend, hanging out with my brother, who finally got back from DTS in New Zealand, and just relaxing before making a hurried trip back to LA where I am now, ready to meet Jesus in the NT! STRENGTH: PLEASE PRAY FOR STRENGTH FOR ME AND MY CLASS MATES AS WE FINISH THE LAST QUARTER OF OUR SBS, AND FINISH IT WELL!
