EARLY LEARNING PROGRAM 3 to 5 Year Olds We believe that children are active, competent, curious, intelligent, expressive and compassionate. These fundamental beliefs inform all of our interactions and engagements with children. The main goal of our Early Learning Program is to provide a space for children to construct their own powers of thinking through all of their expressive, communicative and cognitive languages.

PRIMARY YEARS PROGRAM Grade 1 to Grade 6 Our community comes from a variety of backgrounds and bring a multitude of experiences, beliefs and expectations. The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IBPYP) is a curriculum framework which best supports our diverse student body.


The IBPYP provides opportunities for all of our students to be active learners & to develop attributes which will allow them to be successful global citizens. MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAM Grade 7 to Grade 9 Our Middle School Program is based on the idea that the world is our classroom. Students are taught to effectively use a range of primary and secondary resources. These authentic learning experiences engage students in their learning. Students are guided into developing their own questions and hypotheses. They are provided with opportunities to conduct their own investigations, experiments and observations. Learning experiences are planned to develop conceptual understandings, knowledge and a variety of skills, including: • organisation • information literacy • collaboration • communication • thinking • reflection





Opportunities are given for our students to reach out to our local community through a variety of service projects. Students take part of an overseas service-oriented trip each year.

SPECIALIST PROGRAMS Our curriculum includes a range of subjects taught by specialist teachers. We offer Japanese lessons every day for students from Grade 1 at native, intermediate & beginner levels. Visual arts, music, health & physical education are taught throughout the week.

Our students regularly participate in study trips around Kyoto city. Our students participate in weekly whole school events, held each Friday. These include:
