A grounding rod provides an easy path for electricity to flow to earth should any problem occur like a lightning strike or power surge. Take for example our patented Chem-rod This grounding rod provides consistent, long-term, low resistance interface with true earth. They release specially formulated minerals into the surrounding soil; continuously conditioning a large area. www.lightningprotection.com

Grounding Rod The rod derives moisture from the soil and atmosphere, utilizing it to slowly dissolve the electrolyte in the rod, creating a ‘conductive’ effect. The result is a quality increasing low resistance ground in any type of soil. Additionally, these ground augmentation fill – a key component, makes the grounding rods almost maintenance free.

Grounding Rod Chemical grounding rod’s stability is obtained with a much smaller number of electrodes and interconnecting ground cable are required as compared to the conventional grounding rods. This further means efficiency levels are high enough as one Chem-rod can replace up to 10 conventional grounding rods. Application examples include Commercial and Industrial Electrical Service Grounds, Process Control systems for grounding, Remote Terminal Units, Electrical Substations, Transmission line towers, etc.

Grounding Rod The configuration of chemical grounding rods are: •Vertical and horizontal rods available •The rods vary from 4 to 20 feet; the 8 to 10 feet models are UL listed •These grounding rods have a large diameter (25/8 in.) to provide more soil contact surface area www.lightningprotection.com
