Not Just Fair Weather Supporters A

rainy morning with temperatures starting in the 50’s and plummeting as the day progressed was not the ideal climate for a golf tournament. However, corporations and individuals in St. Louis once again showed their incredible support for First Things First at the fourth annual Kurt Warner First Things First Golf Classic at Norwood Hills Country Club. The group managed to get several holes in before the weather prevented further play, and the added downtime gave everyone quality time with the Warners during an expanded Q&A (indoors of course!). The day ended with a luncheon that included a message from Kurt, a silent auction, and the opportunity to shop for fair trade goods from Rosemary Grove. Special thanks to Edward Jones, FedEx Office, 101 ESPN Radio, Anheuser Busch, Pepsi, Chick-fil-A, Gooey Louie, and Smoothie King for helping to make the day a success.

A Suite Opportunity for Rams or Cardinals Fans Prior to the day on the links, the Warners hosted fans in two private suites at the Edward Jones Dome for the Rams/Cardinals match-up. After learning about the opportunity on Facebook and Twitter, fans from all over the country purchased tickets and travelled to St. Louis for the game. In total, residents from 10 different states were guests in the suites. Special thanks to the St. Louis Rams and Levy Restaurants for making this special opportunity possible. Over $61,000 was raised for First Things First during the Warners two-day visit to St. Louis!! Purposeful Picks

Trying to predict the outcome of sporting events is a fun way to feel connected to

the competition and rivalries even if your favorite player, such as a certain #13, isn’t lacing up anymore. Despite his lack of on-field action, fans had the opportunity to compete against Kurt and try to outwit him with their picks in the second annual Bracket Hoop-la and Gridiron Survivor with proceeds benefitting First Things First. Over $5,000 was raised for First Things First and winners received autographed memorabilia and a phone call from #13 himself.
