Lemons have a natural bleaching action, and some people promote the idea that rubbing the inside of a lemon peel on your teeth will whiten them. There is no research to support this idea, but if you can tolerate the sour taste of the lemon, it might be worth trying.


Some people brush their teeth with a mixture of baking soda and super fine salt. This mixture does clean the teeth very well, but does not leave a pleasant or "minty" taste in your mouth. An electric toothbrush also does a much better job of cleaning your teeth than a manual one, and also takes less time.
