Lake View Pavilion Antihuala, Chile Design Built Project Design, Drawing, Construct 2016
Los Ă lamos, Chile 1780 m
The client, Arroco, a chiliean wood company, has support the college of architecture, Illinois Institute of Technology, to build a near-lake structure for the local residence of Antihuala, Chile. Surrounded by mature oak and washed in natural light, the site is also facing a lake called Laguna, which is a spritual place for the local villegers.
The pavilion is all wood construction. The diagram below is a explosion view of the structure underneath the building facade. The most challenge we faced was the heighth of the structure with the shape we want to apporach. In order to hold the weight of the rood and facade, each beam have to have three layers of lumber boards.
Pisces House McCormickLake, Michigan Acdamic Project Second Year Studio 2014
The design accomplishes this task via the addition of a small stream that connects a smaller pond to the south to the larger lake. It is from here that the structure itself, inspired by the Pisces symbol, spans this gap. The Bridge that crosses this new stream works as the “cord” for the 2 halves of the structure that brings the building and the site together. The cabin is composed of two halves, two “fish” structures that specialize in opposite programmatic functions: one catering to the private condition and the other to the public. Both halves ultimately offer unique vista’s of the beautiful lake, becoming the perfect getaway cabin for the fishing outdoors man
Looking to the reclusive aspects of the McCormick Lake, the proposed structure works as a catalyst for the natural condition, and that of the addition on man. Both interior and exterior designed with the idea of flowing, yet solid and firm with the wood structured material.

Influenced by Crown Hall, the Middle of the Break is a structural based architecture multifunctional functional sculpture that located right in the middle of the lake. It serves local residents as a unique space to hangout, a different perspective to view the lake, another way of appreciating the Ocean. For the construction purposes, all the wood could be pre-provide by Arauco, also I would like to intruduce the wood facade (left image). all the ingrediance could be found on the site and we do not need to cut trees. By using local resources, it send a message of build green and fit the site.

Active Water Cooling Pavilion West Lafeyette, Indianna Studio Project Fifth Year Studio 2016
The Water Cooling pavilion is as much a water cycle system, fort and playroom as itis a serious structure space. The idea of the cycle of the water is to recycle the rain water to the top of the pavilion glasses’ panel, while the water flowing down to the bottom, the glass panels would get cooled and the cool air would flowing down.

Harold Washington Library Renovation Chicago, Illinois Acdamic Project 4th Year Project 2015
A Library is a place to house a collection of books. The architecture of a central library must also accomplish serving as a symbol for the entire city: as a visual connection to the entire library system, which in the city of Chicago, is quite widespread. The Harold Washington Library carries a large selection of books, along with additional programs serving its constituents. By re allocating the additional programs to branch libraries, we return the library to its original intention as a temple for books. In taking on this classical archetype of a library, we designed the library along the Ancient Greek tradition of organizing collections of books along a central atrium that serves as an open arena for discussion and scholarship.

Art Museum Model Making Chicago, Illinois Work Project Model Making 2015 - 2019
The priviate art museum is located in Lincoln Park, Chicago. The major design is Ando Studio in Tokyo, Japan. On his fisrt trip to Chicago, his employee introduced us on a dinner, and delivered an idea that the owner of the museum wants to visual experience the space that is going to be finish in two years. Since it is an old Chicago apartment block building, as result, I came with couple architecture interior renderings, and a fourteen- tables 1:1/2 scaled physical model.
Tadao Ando visit the model shop, Illinois Institute of Technology on May 3rd. We talked about the Model and discussed about finishing material for the real site.
National Museum of Gospel Music Nodel Making Bronzeville, Chicago Work Project Model Making 2017
Pilgrim Baptist Church was a Chicago. However, in 2006, a fire burned fiercely enough to engulf parked cars and gut a nearby school. It spared only the structure’s limestone exterior walls, taking with it a congregation’s beloved home, a city landmark designed by famed architects Louis Sullivan and Dankmar Adler — and the seedbed for gospel. Architecturally and culturally, Pilgrim is a landmark worth preserving. It was announced in a press conference on Dec. 6 that the corner of 34th and Indiana, where Pilgrim Baptist Church once stood, will become home to the National Museum of Gospel Music. The project is lead by Don Jackson, CEO of Central City Productions and founder of the Stellar Gospel Music Awards, and designed by Chicago architect Dirk Lohan. I helped the architect built a 1/4" scale study model for the opening ceremony night in Crown Hall.
Prefabricated Uber Module for Local Hospital Birmingham, Alabama Work Project Design, Revit, Assistant Contractor 2016 - 2018
Design Manufacture Construct (DMC) is a new building delivery system - it replaces traditional design and construction methods with a 21st century approach. DMC is building delivery designed to Leverage manufacturing so construction is simple. Todays’ budiling are the result of traditional design adn construction thinking that has ecolced little in a century. This produces an expensive, low-performance buidling slowly. BLOX is changing that with Design Manufacture Construct (DMC), an open source method to design buidlings with twice the quality of traditional buildings, assemble them twoice as fast as triaditional construction, and produce them for half the cost. For the current project, a hospital in Taxes, we used Uber Modules of 15’ by 13’ by 30’ with cariation functions of rooms such as operation rooms, reception rooms, and X Ray rooms.
15’X32’ TYPICAL FRAME
D MEP MODULE
The whole system is designed and manufactured in the company of BLOX, and the components got assembled and shiped by oversized truck to the site. the whole construction of the hospital is two times shorter than triditional project.
During the shop drawing phases, my main job is to produce MEP duct work drawings.
