FULL-TIME MBA PROGRAM
GET THE COMPETITIVE EDGE WITH THE FULL-TIME MBA PROGRAM AT THE UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS. Starting fall 2013, KU will offer the newest, most innovative MBA curriculum model in the country. We are proud to launch a program that combines the latest thinking in management theory with the practical skills you need to get ahead and offers the most relevant education available. An MBA from the University of Kansas, which has the proven market value of our AACSB international accreditation, is the hallmark of quality in business school education.
Choose your own path We recognize that each student pursues an MBA with distinct needs and career objectives. That’s why we’ve taken customization to an entirely new level. You’ll tailor the program to your priorities. KU admits new students to the MBA program during the fall semester, and you’ll complete the program in three semesters. • You’ll begin the 16-month program in August and finish the following December. • A summer internship allows you to engage in career exploration. • For additional customization, you will pursue a specialized program track in finance or supply chain management/marketing. These programs include five classes and 15 credit hours.
The KU MBA difference A distinct feature of the KU MBA program is our fresh approach toward education. The classroom experience at KU provides insights about today’s business environment and gives you a foundation for building a specialized program based upon your career goals. You will put your classroom knowledge into action through an internship in your targeted career field and a variety of application courses. Our Kansas Initiative Project will foster civic leadership among all of our MBA students. During orientation, you and your fellow classmates will be grouped in teams and tasked with crafting management solutions for current, critical issues that are facing Kansas nonprofits and similar institutions. You will present your solutions to clients at a presentation banquet in the spring. You’ll also receive individual mentoring, career counseling and support, and funding for professional development and personal career exploration.
