I cut flour-sacking into quarters or sixths & edge-stitch the raw edges to make reusable, bleach ably-washable alternatives for a lot of tasks that otherwise need paper towels. This year I’m making these for friends as Christmas presents; the Utopia Kitchen towels are great quality with thoughtful, quaint packaging which makes for a very nice presentation for gifts!
These are outstanding quality modern ‘flour-sacking’ towels, far nicer than any I’ve purchased in stores & a better price too! The edges are well-hemmed (¼” double-fold) & the towels showed minimal shrinkage after washing in HOT water, still measuring 28?x28?. Bonus: they arrived with a nicely made, attractive & useful button-closure strap (same material) to hold them in a tidy bunch when folded, the whole lot packaged in a reusable heavy plastic package. (The buttoned strap would actually make a quirky ‘housework headband’ for women or teens with smaller heads.)
