AN INVESTIGATION IN DIGITAL FABRICATION CITY HIKE IS A MULTI-FUNCTIONAL PARK FOR PUBLIC USE. THE EXTERIOR FORMS PROVIDE HIKING ABOVE AND SHADE BELOW.

AN INVESTIGATION IN DIGITAL FABRICATION THE ROLLING HILLS OF RURAL NEW ENGLAND, CONSTRUCTED AND PORTRAYED IN A DISTINCTLY URBAN MANNER.

AN INVESTIGATION IN DIGITAL FABRICATION AN AMPHITHEATER BUILT INTO THE EXTERIOR HIKING SURFACES PROVIDES A CONCERT VENUE FOR A NEARBY MUSIC SCHOOL.

AN INVESTIGATION IN DIGITAL FABRICATION THE DECKING AND STRUCTURE FORMS WERE AUTOMATICALLY CONVERTED TO PROFILES THAT COULD BE DIGITALLY-FABRICATED.

STRUCTURAL EXPLORATION A CABLE STAY STRUCTURE WITH CONCRETE TOWERS ANCHORS THIS DESIGN. THE ROOF IS MADE OF GLUE-LAM BEAMS.

STRUCTURAL EXPLORATION PRACTICAL CONSIDERATIONS INCLUDE STEEL FRAMING AROUND THE PERIMETER, GLAZED CURTAIN WALLS, AND CORNER BRACING.

THE CONCEPT FOR THIS DESIGN IS A TREEHOUSE. I WANTED TO CREATE A BUILDING THAT ENCOURAGED EXPLORATION AND WONDER.

THE TREEHOUSE IS ACCESSIBLE AT GROUND LEVEL. MOST OF THE INTERIOR IS RECESSED INTO THE GROUND.

THE MAIN CYLINDERS EVOKE TREE TRUNKS, WHILE THE ELEVATION VIEWS OF THE ROOF AND COLUMNS EVOKE ROLLING FORESTS.
