Employee Recognition Highlight An outside organization called Sons of the American Revolution host an annual banquet in Charlotte, during which they recognize outstanding members of fire, police and EMS organizations in the area. They approached Medic and asked who we would like to recognize at this year’s event. In turn, we put an invitation out to the Agency looking for detailed suggestions. Several were made, out of which three finalists were chosen and discussed at length by the Leadership Team. All of the entries were worthy of consideration, though one did stand out. Medic is pleased to announce that Emergency Medical Dispatcher Christy Parker will be representing Medic at next week’s Sons of the American Revolution Banquet. The Agency would like to acknowledge that Paramedics John Stroup and Kimberly Cauble were the other finalists; both are equally impressive in their commitment to Medic and this community. We are fortunate to have all three working here at Medic. Please join the entire Leadership Team in congratulating Christy on this accomplishment, in addition to John and Kimberly for their outstanding contributions to Medic.

Attention: Second Employee ROSC Recognition Event - Date Moved! By now you have probably heard about the ROSC recognition event that was on November 5, 2009. The early feedback is that everyone who attended had a great time – which is precisely what we were shooting for. As promised, there is a second event that will be held for those of you who could not attend the event on November 5th. We will essentially be running the same program from that night, the location is really the only thing we will be changing. The second ROSC recognition event has been moved to Thursday, December 10, 2009 staring at 5:30 pm. Employees will be receiving an invitation in the mail as well as a follow up email from the Public Relations Department. This event will now be held in conjunction with the Service Awards. Thos employees receiving a service award this year will also be receiving a invitation in the mail. Everyone will be allowed to bring up to two guests. If this changes based on our RSVP list, we will let you know. You MUST RSVP to Kristin Young via email or in person. She will need to know if you plan to attend, how many guests you are bringing (up to two per person), and the name of your guests. If you don’t tell Kristin you are coming, we will not plan on seeing you that evening – so please be sure to do so. Everyone MUST RSVP to Kristin by Wednesday, December 2, 2009 - kristiny@medic911.com or at extension 6165. This is a Medic recognition event, so everyone is expected to be in uniform. If you have any questions, please see Kristin or Jeff Keith (jeffk@medic911.com or at extension 6160) 3
