Bridge Project My proposal for the “bridge” connects between continuaty and limits. The driven concept behind the project’s design hinges on generating a space that shows different views all over the pathway of the bridge. The limits create different indi vidual spaces that the person walking through it can engage into it.In addition to providing passage from one building to the other the bridge also houses the following functions Transparency, Enclosure, and Openings. The bridge has many variations of light because of the functions mentioned above. I am able to create a sense of continuous limts in this bridge, by creating limits on the similarity of the walls , ceilings, and the floor as the bridge. This was possible by manipulating linear, planar, and volumetric elements.

CONCORD GYM

THE CONCORD HEALTH CLUB GYM IS A MODERN DAY GYM DESIGNED WITH PRIVATE GYM SESSION ROOMS, POOL AREA, SAUNA ROOMS. THE ULTIMATE STEP AND DESIGN ON THIS GYM WAS THE IDEA OF GREEN ROOFS AND BALCONY S WHICH PROVIDE VIEWS FROM THE OUTDOOR TERRACE.

34 STREET FERRY STATION. THIS PROJECT FOCUSES MAINLY ON HOW TO DESIGN IDEALLY IN A SITE SUCH AS THIS. FROM THE EARLY SKETCHES TO THE FINAL MODEL THROUGHOUT THE PROJECT THE INITIAL IDEA WAS A DERIVING FACTOR OF WHAT WE WERE TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH. WITH THAT BEING SAID. THE NORTHERN ENCLOSURE WAS PROVIDES THIS WALL WHICH GIVES INTERESTING VIEWS OF MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, MEANWHILE PROTECTING FROM THE STRONGER NORTHERN WINDS.

SKYLINE MUSEUM IS A MUSEUM THAT DISPLAYS THE HISTORY OF NYC BUILDINGS AND THEIR EFFECT IN THE CITIES SKYLINE. THROUGHOUT THIS PROJECT WE WILL SEE A SKYLINE PATTERN DEVELOPED, WHETHER ITS TAKING US DOWN THE HISTORY LANE OR PROJECTING THE FUTURE OF WHAT IT COULD BE THE SKYLINE WILL FOLLOW AN INDIVIDUAL THROUGHOUT THE PROJECT. THE SKYLINE ELEMENT IS FEATURED IN THE EXTERIOR FACADE, INTERIOR WALLS AS WELL AS THE EXHIBITION AREAS. THIS IS ILLUSTRATED THROUGHOUT THIS PROJECT. TO COME UP WITH THESE 3D PATTERNS A SPECIFIC STUDY WAS DONE ON THE NYC SKYLINE THROUGHOUT ITS HISTORY. THE IMAGE BELOW SHOWS THE TRANSFORMATION OF NYC SKYLINE.

NATURAL AIR VENTILATION THE IDEA BEHIND THIS MODERN HOUSE DESIGN IS TO CREATE A HOUSE THAT IS NATURALLY VENTILATED. PROVIDING WINDOW OPENING ABOVE THE LOWER CEILING MEAN WHILE SLIDING DOORS ARE PLACED IN FLOOR LEVEL . BY DOING THAT GOOD AIR CIRCULATION IS PROVIDED AS HOT AIR RISES AND COLD AIR CIRCULATES LOWER ALONG ROOMS.

CIRCULATION THROUGH THIS CIRCULATION DIAGRAM WE GET A SENSE OF HOW THE HORIZONTAL FLOOR CIRCULATION WORKS. SIMULTANEOUSLY WE ALSO GET AN UNDERSTANDING OF HOW THIS FLOOR WOULD GET ACCESS TO OTHER FLOORS OF THE BUILDING BY SEEING WHERE THE VERTICAL CORE IS LOCATED.

APARTMENTS

ILLUSTRATING THE THIRD FLOOR

THE APARTMENTS ARE LOCATED AROUND THE CIRCULATION TO MAXIMIZE THE AMOUNT OF LIGHT ENTERING EACH APT. ANOTHER KEY FACTOR THAT LED TO THIS APT CONFIGURATION IS THE VIEWS TOWARDS THE NORTH.

RESTAURANT THE RESTAURANT PROVIDES SOME OF THE BEST VIEWS TO DOWN TOWN MANHATTAN WHILE AT THE SAME TIME CONNECTS THE MAIN RESIDENTIAL BUILDING TO THE LOWER COMMERCIAL AREA.

OFFICES THE OFFICES ARE LOCATED IN THE LOWER COMMERCIAL BUILDING AND ARE LOCATED NEAR THE GYM AND RESTAURANT. WHICH ALLOWS FOR THESE OFFICES TO BE USED BY THE COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL OCCUPANTS .

FULL BUILDING VIEW ILLUSTRATING THE THIRD FLOOR GYM THE GYM IS A DOUBLE HIGHTED SPACE LOCATED AT THE EAST END OF THIS BUILDING PROVIDING VIEWS FROM MID-TOWN MANHATTAN. THE GYM ALSO CONNECTS TO THE UPPER FLOOR.
