Center of the action…. The 17th hole at Warwick Hills is famous for having one of the liveliest galleries on the PGA TOUR. As the tournament quickly approaches, we thought you might like to take a few moments to get familiar with the crown jewel we call #17. Par 3, 197 Yards Undoubtedly the most picturesque hole at Warwick. A pond and a large trap guard the front of the green, yet a tee shot to the back of the green yields an extremely fast downhill putt to the hole.

The tournament will offer free admission beginning at noon to come out and enjoy this family fun event! This year, the clinic will feature the Dennis Walters golf show. After a tragic accident, a paralyzed Dennis Walters has surpassed the odds to play golf and provide an entertaining and educational show of trick shots using only his upper body. Ronald McDonald will also be in attendance for photos and fun with the kids! In addition, local PGA Professionals will be on-site to offer a few pointers to the game and analyze your swing! The show will begin with a question and answer session, where Dennis will get to know the audience and they get to know him. Next, he’ll bring out the opening act– Super Dog, Bucky, who was rescued by Canine Castaways. The show moves along with a trick shot presentation and concludes with an inspiring message that very few things in the world are impossible if you are willing to work hard and persevere. It’s sure to be an enjoyable presentation and inspiring message to kids and adults alike. After the show, you can proceed to hitting stations on the driving range where our local PGA Professionals can provide a swing analysis and offer a couple tips on approaching the game. It’s sure to be a great event during tournament week. We hope to see you there!

Have you heard? The Buick Open has partnered with the Flint Area Convention & Visitors Bureau in producing radio spots using comedian and actor, Tim Allen. You are probably familiar with the Pure Michigan tourism campaign that includes Tim narrating a story highlighting all the great things the state has to offer. The Buick Open radio spot will be an extension of this. We are hopeful to reach an expanded market in West Michigan, Ohio and Indiana through this effort.
