I got into photography doing promotional visuals to help brand upcoming entrepreneurs [Justin Torres and Javier Lee]. It wasn’t until Spring of 2019, I collaborated with Donllywood on a vintage and modern contemporary concept.

What Got You into Taking Photos? Both concept became a buzz on Instagram especially with the standout pose “the kick”. Working with Donllywood brings out an essence. 23

What made Dre return to modeling? Who is Dre Kuhmillie?

Dre Kuhmillie is a fashion model, runway coach, creative director, and owner of Dre Kuhmillie, Inc.; he just does it all. Dre Kuhmillie began his modeling journey at the age of 8, originally being signed to  Model Management Group in Miami. As a child model, Dre was not able to channel  his full “potential” due to his timidness, self-scrutiny, and not having the room to be his most true self. He gave up modeling at the age of 10, not realizing that he may never get this privileged opportunity again. 27

To fast forward, Dre advised in his college years, he yearned for the opportunity to model again. At this time, he was a lot more self assured. Dre joined a modeling organization at Florida Atlantic University, where he was given freedom to challenge his creative limits. Being given this platform, Dre Kuhmillie realized his ability to teach and creatively direct other upcoming models. Today, Dre Kuhmillie is currently the owner of his very own talent seeking agency, Dre Kuhmillie Inc., uplifting rising talents in South Florida. In continuation, when was asked "Who is your biggest inspiration?" He advised Alton Mason is his biggest inspiration. To conclude, Dre Kuhmillie continues to make a statement with everything that he does, and we are so excited for what the future has in stores for the Fashion model star.

What inspired you to design the earrings?

"I quit my 9-5 job because I hated it. I hated how I felt in that environment and I hated that I was missing so many milestones of my sons life. One day while scrolling on Instagram I saw earrings that I wanted. I wasn’t able to buy them at the time so I told myself I would just make myself some earrings. As soon as I made my first pair, I was in love; I always loved making jewelry as a kid, so when I started with the clay, I loved creating designs and cool shapes. I realized that I can make 36 this my job full time,

so that’s what I did. Every earring is made with clay and is handcrafted with care. When I tried on the first pair of earrings I made, I loved the confidence I felt once putting it on. I wanted to be able to make other women feel like queens. I wanted them to feel more confident and beautiful than they already are. I pray that anyone who wears an Esther + Clay earring, that they feel like this! 37

Who is your biggest inspiration

I have two guys in my life who mean everything to me! They are my inspiration. I am building an empire with my husband and we are breaking generational curses for our son. They inspire my designs with the way they make me feel. They motivate me to push myself outside my comfort zone. Justin and Israel, I love y’all.

Legacy B. Studio The mastermind behind Legacy B. Studio is Benji C. Jean. He stated, "I started photography in the summer of 2018. I've always been intrigued by photography ever since high school and the art form is something I've always appreciated. I was always a spectator until about 2 years ago in the summer of 2018. I borrowed one of my friend's cameras and just started shooting some friends for fun. 45

It's something I always wanted to do so when I got the opportunity, I ran with it.  They loved the photos and other people did as well. The feedback I got from those photos was more than I ever imagined. Being able to create something out of nothing and help others bring their visions come to life is something that I fell in love with.

KREYE MAGAZINE

Ever since then, I've been helping people build their legacy through photography. Hence, Legacy B. Studio was born! I also do videography and graphic design. Moreover, I started out learning Photoshop for flyers and covers for organizations and musicians. All that previous knowledge and experience comes in handy believe it or not.

INFLUENTIAL BLACK ARTISTS

55

KREYE MAGAZINE

What Inspired You to Get into Art? As a little girl, on the weekends, my mother would take my sister and I to visit the local Artisanal Market in Haiti and I would always be curious and fascinated by the techniques, colors, and skills it took for the artists to create such beautiful pieces of art that connected with the viewer in a way that goes beyond what we’d see on the surface. I also remember when I was in preschool, my favorite time was when I was allowed to indulge in the arts and craft. So as I got older, this love never faded. I started drawing maybe since I could hold a pencil but it wasn’t until my first year of college, as I was desperately searching for a creative outlet to alleviate my mental breakdowns that I started painting officially in 2016. KREYE MAGAZINE

56

Painting to me is like therapy. It keeps me sane. I believe it’s a gift from God. I find myself in my own little world where the possibilities are endless. The canvas is where I let my creativity flow. Oftentimes, I would start with an idea then once I start applying it onto this blank surface, it becomes something else. I often think of life in that sense. You can never truly know for certain what’s coming next. Each brushstroke, each color no matter how dark, how light or how bright contributes in their own way to create a true work of art. 57

Who is your biggst inspiration

I have been inspired by a variety of people from family members, friends, artists, public figures, and myriads of others. But among all of them, I would say the journey of discovering who Christie is has been my biggest source of inspiration. The journey of exploring who I am as an individual can be uplifting yet painful and exhausting. It has not been easy and at times, it gets messy. Some of my earlier pieces of artwork have been created from a place of selfdoubt while simultaneously trying to find my voice. When I look back at my younger self, I’ve realized how far I’ve come in truly accepting who I am. It’s an ongoing learning process. So while cultivating the subtle art of being present, I am well aware that there’s a lot more pruning and growing that needs to be done in order to continually create a better version of myself. 59

What Got You into Photography?

My two older brothers were always amazing artists, but I could never paint or draw as well as them. During my senior year of college I bought my first camera in order to make YouTube videos. When I realized the quality of photos I could take my focus changed and that was the start of me falling in love with photography. I have the same level of artistic talent as my two older brothers, I just had to find my medium.

What made you decide to open the Boutique

With the wise words of my professor in mind, I decided to create my line with high-end items for a reasonable price, because I love high profile boutiques and stores. Although, everyone doesn't have the means to afford shoes from these brands. I decided to create a boutique that serves great quality shoes and accessories so the average woman can serve looks like Cardi B, Zendaya, or anyone you can imagine without breaking the bank. When it comes to the origin of the name of my brand I chose Nirvana Sade because that's my alter ego when I feel like a "baddie" I transform into Nirvana Sade and I want all my clients to have the Nirvana Sade experience. 83
