Tendency to Lie in Social Media Study 2011

INTRODUCTION Good day. We are currently doing a study on how social media, specifically chat and SMS, affects the individual’s tendency to lie in different social interactions. We would like to explore how various social contexts, coupled with the use of social media, affect lying behaviors among individuals. Moreover, we believe that this study will facilitate a deeper understanding of the differences between face to face and social media interactions, and how the latter makes it easier for individuals to get away with certain types of behavior. We have drawn up a survey questionnaire for this topic, which we feel that you will be able to provide valuable information to. Please understand that there are no right or wrong answers to these questions. Feel free to share your thoughts and ideas on this. We assure you that your responses will be kept confidential. Thank you very much for participating in our study.
