Jogging is an activity which millions of people do every single day. I happen to be a fan of jogging (though I usually refer to it as running) because it's a workout you can do practically anywhere (in the gym or outdoors), it clears your mind of your day to day worries, and it's highly effective as a fat burner. Whether you should do jogging to lose belly fat is a tricky question since jogging doesn't play favorites among different body parts. It burns calories and fat from all over your body. You can't choose the body part to lose fat from. Still, all in all jogging can be a great way to lose belly fat. However, this won't happen if you do it like most people do. A lot of people see jogging as a social activity. It's not. It's a workout. Even if you jog with a friend or a group, and I'm all in favor of that, this isn't the time for chitchat, small talk, socializing, or telling jokes. You're not just passing the time, you're making use of your time to push your body to the very best results you can get. This is why you shouldn't just jog. You should run! Only if you make your jogging workouts count by making them intensive will they burn off a considerable amount of belly fat. Challenge yourself to better running by trying to beat your own time every now and again or including more uphill running in your routine. Some people also use ankle weights to make their jog more strenuous, but I see little point in that: running is hard enough without any added weights. Here are some more jogging tips: 1. Don't run downhill as it places a lot of pressure on your knees and may lead to injury. 2. Don't run with a friend unless you're more or less evenly matched. You don't want to slow yourself down just because you're running with company. 3. If you do strength workouts it's better to do cardio after them. 4. Don't jog on a full stomach. One and a half hour after a meal is the minium time you should give yourself. 5. Make sure to warm up before a workout and do some light running and stretching at the end of it. That's all there is to jogging. If you do it right and make sure to do it hard, you should see excellent


results from it.
