ABU ELABED The Palestinian-Lebanese restaurant was founded in 1949 and located in Jaffa, Israel. The design aims to capture the significant architecture and structures from sites around the old part of the town. Combining and integrating typography of Arabic, Hebrew and Latin as fundamental design elements to create arabesque style patterns. A sketch of Jaffa’s famous old Clock Tower was used in the logo. Underneath is a logotype connecting Hebrew and Arabic letters. The font, “AMITAY”, was specially designed for the project in three languages.
