1 INTRODUCTION

1.1

KKS - SCOPE AND GUIDELINES

The Identification System for Power Stations "KKS" serves to identify plants, sections of plants and items of equipment in any type of power station according to task, type and location. It is to be used by all engineering disciplines for planning, licensing, construction, operation and maintenance. The KKS, or sections thereof, can be combined with other identification systems in order to meet additional identification requirements. The Application Commentaries are supplements to the KKS Guidelines and are intended to give assistance in use of the identification system. The diagram below shows the relationships between the KKS Rules and KKS Application.

DESIGNATION AND TYPE OF DATA CHARACTERS

In consideration of the various requirements placed on the identification of plants, section of plants and items of equipment in power stations, KKS has three different types of code: Process-related code Process-related identification of systems and items of equipment according to their functions in mechanical, civil, electrical and control and instrumentation ngineering. The process-related designation is the most important designation. It is used in the technical and civil engineering as well as in the electrical and control and instrumentation engineering. Point of installation code This designation is used for the point of installation identification of electrical components as switches, indicators etc. in assembly units (for e.g. in cubicles, panels, consoles, etc.). This designation is necessary for the cabling and wiring of electrical and control and instrumentation equipment. This designation is used only for electrical and instrumentation and control system.


Location code This designation is used for identification of location in structures, on floors and in rooms and also of fire areas. These three types of designation use the same identification scheme, which is subdivided into maximally four breakdown levels. Originally the titles of the breakdown levels were based on process-related code:

A = Alphabetical symbols (Latin alphabet except I and O and special symbols) N = Numeral symbols (Arabic numerals) - see Doc. No. 0AM/13-1 The data characters in parentheses ( ) may be omitted if the code remains unique. 1.2.2

Tag numbers Prefix

In generally according to ZENEN Contract for Tereshkovo, prefix is defined “RU01A” Sequential numbers will be used as follows: 00 – for common system

DRAWING AND APPLICATION OF SYMBOLS IN THE DIAGRAMS Symbols are drawn as graphical symbols by a solid light line and lighter then lines which represent the mechanical equipment.

4.2.2

It is recommended to use the oval of such a dimension to be possible to write legibly the entire alphabetical and numerical codes defining I & C circuit. Minimal letter height (recommended) is 2,5 mm.

4.1

The first letter indicates the measured or controlled variable. A suitable letter from the column ”Letters”, corresponding ”Measured (controlled) quantity” of the table in the paragraph 1.4.4.2, is chosen. If needed, an additional letter from the column ”Additional character” can be added.

4.2

Further letters will be chosen from the column ”Function of circuit” from above mentioned table.

4.3

If in the lettered code besides the first letter character are also two or more other characters, these characters shall be lined up in the order I R C T Q S Z A. (This condition does not relate with additional letters, mentioned in the column ”Additional character. Letter I may be omitted, if the indicator is provided with indication of measured variable.

4.2.3

It is recommended to use the united designation (for e.g. ovals) and dimensions of symbols in whole documentation, while the basic position of symbols is always situated parallely with the drawing border.

4.2.4

A stalk of symbol can also be broken, breaking must be (if possible) situated parallely with the drawing border and it must end on the equipment outline in place for the signal extraction.

Letter H designates rising value, letter L designates dropping value. Number of letter must relate to the required number of limits without respect to the following activity to reach any limit. The gradual numbering is used for the electrical equipment, where numbers means for e.g. numbers of fields. KKS DESIGNATION ACC. TO POINT OF INSTALLATION IDENTIFICATION

This designation is used for the point of installation identification in assembly units for instrumentation and control system (for e.g. in cubicles, panels, consoles etc.). Not only is this designation important for cabling but for the interconnection of electrical equipment and equipment of the control technical as well. This method of designation acc. to point of installation identification in assembly units serves only for the instrumentation and control system.

Number of data characters is directed by required fineness of raster field division. A = Alphabetical symbols (Latin alphabet except I and O and special symbols) N = Numeral symbols (Arabic numerals) The data characters in parentheses (..) may be omitted if the code remains unique. Breakdown symbol "period" must be always written in order to discriminate this sort of designation acc. to process and from designation acc. to point of installation identification. 5.8.1

Breakdown level 0 and 1

There are the same principles in the breakdown level 0 and 1 as for the designation of process mentioned in 1.3.1, 1.3.2, 1.3.3 a 1.3.4 therefore we do not mention it again. 5.8.2

Code of installation point - Breakdown level 2


The alphabetical designation of installation point in the vertical direction (rows designation) is done by data characters A1A, data characters AN indicate counting in the horizontal direction (columns numbering). Data character A3 can be used for designation of special integrated equipment of design groups or design units, or further breakdown of AN can be used. As alphabetical letters (without I and O) are used, on data characters A1A2 for point of installation identification in the assembly unit there occurs the combination of letters as for the aggregate designation acc. to process. In order to discriminate it from other types of designation there must be written (period) "." in front of the breakdown level 2. As a result to a fact that there are often used codes next to each other in the electric therefore there is used "=" (sign of equality) in front of designation code acc. to process and "+" in front of designation code acc. to point of installation, which in similar cases neither have to contain level 2 nor period for the discrimination of prefix code, which can fall off in case that the specification stays unambiguous. The following principles direct for the designation of installation point in assembly units: • The counting direction and counting sequence derive from the initial position data (KU) at the view to the front side. • The counting direction at the view to the front side is from left to right and from top to bottom. • The counting direction at the view to the back side is from right to left and from top to bottom. • Vertical breakdown in axis Y (i.e. rows designation) is designated with Capital letters. • Horizontal breakdown in axis X (i.e. columns numbering) is designated with Arabic numbers.

Steam turbine MA. is connected to generator MK., as well as the gas turbine MB. is connected to next generator MK.; generator’s equipment of steam turbine is then 1MK., generator’s equipment of gas turbine is then designated 2MK. (take notice of fact that space is not written behind this number as it is done for the number designating power generation unit). Occasionally it is more suitable (with respect to replacement possibility for designation of units) to discriminate such equipment on data character FN (generator’s equipment of steam turbine is MK10, gas turbine is MK20 etc.).

Designation of transformers

5.1

Designation of

transformers is done inside of the main group B according to following principles:

- Block transformers in group BA - Start-up transformers in group BC All transformers for feeding of home consumption always in the group which is on the site of lower voltage, resp. by direction of the energy flow.

Transformer is designated according to agreed numbering by following the chapter 1.3.4.1:

Equipment at transformer, for example pumping aggregates, fans, measuring circuits, subdistributors are designated with the discriminating code valid for aggregates. Outlets to appliances

Each outlet coming out from switchboards for el. appliances (el. engines, servodrives, heating devices etc.), feeds "aggregate", which is not designated acc. to the switchgear. Code symbol of this aggregate comprises of system code symbol and aggregate code symbol. It is efficient to designate the branch by process code symbol of appliance (principle of author) from view of functional designation. As a result to a fact that in the el. documentation is often used designation next to each other acc. to process as well as acc. to location point, which sometimes does not have to contain the breakdown code 2 (nor a discriminating period), it is used in el. documentation for code discriminating of prefixcode symbols (in details see 1.4.1). + BBA

Pumping aggregates LAC10 AP110, MAG20 AP110 and PAC10 AP110 are fed from switchgear BBA. In the field +BBA01 is for e.g. located the distribution device (power generation switch etc.) for pumping aggregate LAC10 AP110. This outlet is designated by process code symbol =LAC10 AP110. Analogously it is done with other outlets.
