Moreover, provinces where expansion of plantation and forestry is taking place like in Riau, Jambi, South Sumatra, Central Sulawesi and Lampung also suffer from agrarian conflicts whose frequency keeps increasing. This indicates that expansion of plantation, mining and forestry actually comes hand in hand with grabbing land and water previously cultivated by the society, considering that its license and right granted to corporates is, in fact, in territory of society’s exploration.
