My music magazine is targeting and audience of people (male+female) who are into RAP,aged between 16 and 25. It represents male/female youth in a fairly typical way. My image of a rapper on the front cover and double page spread are stereotypical becauseof the way I have dressed them. I used a gun in both front cover and double page spread becauseit’s showing how dangerous they are and what type of personality they have. Theseare the two images that I have used and they are similar but this is what I wanted becauseI wanted this person who is on my front cover to be on the double page spread to becausethe magazine is mostly about TJ marvel. Thesetwo images of the same guy are showing the personality of this group of people and this is why it’s stereotypical. I chose this group of people becauseI think they are very interesting and they are unpredictable on what they will do, however between the agesof 16 and 25 most of the audience are into the same kind of things that Rappers are into. But this isn’t why I chose this group of people, it’s becausethere are millions of fans and this makes it more likely for my magazine to be bought and sold out. My magazine suggests that this group of people have a very rude personality and they think they are gangsters. They act in a strange way, e.g. swinging their arms around while they talk or limping when they walk, however many black people are into this sort of music but on the other hand other ethnic groups do like this music genre too but mostly my target audience is black people and teenagers that are interested in rap. There are millions of rap fans out there in the world and I believe if it was given out in other countries not just the UK then millions of fans would buy my magazine. Normally rap fans are interested in Drugs, sex and partying and they do this near enough all the time and my magazine shows this; this is how the audience and rappers would like to live their lives. The colour scheme is mostly black and yellow for the fonts and the back ground is in white. The language I used was quite formal but the problem is that it should have been informal and I should have used slang words as this type of language fits in with the attitude of rappers + the audience, the way they act and speak.

My image of my front cover is very similar to a real music magazine front cover which is showing billow. This isn’t where I got the idea to take my front cover image, at the time I didn’t even know that is cover existed but I was looking on Google images to do my analysis of front covers and I found this real front cover which is basically the same mine. However these two images have a gun and they both are looking up and the fonts of my front cover are basically in the same position as this real music magazine. I decided to use a

gun and a cigirette because they are interesting items in our world and are very eye catching. I used thses two items because it atracts atention and I believed that my target audience would be interested in thses items and therefore buy the magazine and find out what the magazine is about.
