SECOND YEAR OF STUDY // 2016 TAKAHARU TEZUKA TOKYO / DAIKANYAMA

Fold up Cozy Design 2

We propose a multi-family dwelling where 5 households live in Daikanyama, Tokyo. As the main theme of the issue, residents of foreigners to learn Japanese culture.

04

People's comforts vary, and it is time to move. It fluctuates depending on the action or emotion and the environment, and it is a very vague feeling. However, it is not flexible in the public housing of the modern LDK type plan. So, what is attracted is the tatami. The image of a Japanese house is with tatami mats. It was

during the Edo period that tatami was spread to houses, and a very universal plan was born where you could sit anywhere and sleep anywhere. In addition, the dimensions arising from the tatami mats made the module established and changed Japanese architecture. Every Japanese can be convinced by the unit expressed in tatami. However, these days the tatami mat is becoming a cultural heritage. The tatami mats are being squeezed into a Japanese style room, and the flats without tatami mats are increasing in urban apartments. Let's consider

thi s as a cri si s of J apanese culture. By the way, the residents suggest that they design and pursue their own comfort by the height dimension spacing and the variability of the self-understanding that comes from such tatami mats. People and comfort are inextricably linked, and the buildings present in the vicinity repeat the bonds and creation of space. The comfortable rental housing continues to be folded according to the residents' comfort and the trend of the times.

KIDS SPACE

CASA-CASA

SECOND YEAR OF STUDY // 2016 DESIGN LAB TOKYO CITY UNIVERSITY #4

CASA-CASA Kids Space

Present the prizes of the school festival in the design circle. The purpose is to design a place for children.

08

In order to design the space for the children, we first went to Fuji Kindergarten designed by Professor Takaharu Tezuka. The children were playing there alone in the empty space. So we thought that architects could provide children with a space that is nothing. We explored and discovered the idea of constructing a space with simple materials that anyone can obtain from such a large idea

to connect architecture. It is an umbrella bag, which everyone played on a rainy day as a child. Create a space by blowing breath into an umbrella bag and stacking it three-dimensionally. Everyone breathes into the space, the space is instant, with time passes, it shrinks and breathes into it anew, strength revives, and a new space is created. Space always grows with children.

Determine and design facilities deemed necessary on the university campus through research.

10

At the time of research, I organized the photos I had collected. According to the framing of the photos, they are divided into two groups of vertical and horizontal frames. The causes of the large number of horizontal frames include physical reasons such as that the human field of vision is wider in the horizontal direction than in the vertical direction. Things that we usually look

unconsciously are naturally represented in the horizontal frame. On the other hand, vertical frames show things that we can not observe without our knowledge. Our students find that they have a biased view of the horizontal frame, and their biases make them feel that they are in a very critical situation for students who are learning. Therefore, we suggest that students, professors and community residents recognize the experience of vertical frames through cafes. We propose a cafe on the roof of Building No. 10 in order to give

THIRD YEAR OF STUDY // 2017 KATSUYA HUKUSHIMA TOKYO CITY UNIVERSITY #10

the experience of seeing the world in various frames. The journey to the roof gives the user an experience that can not be touched by everyday science. After finishing the top of the long stairs, beautiful views are cut vertically and horizontally by the architecture, and the sense changes. After drinking coffee and going down the stairs to the next destination, there is a new world in it.

Currently, we exist in the early days of information development. The law of harvest acceleration proposed by Kurzweil and the timeline of cultural singularities confirm this. In the future, technology will develop more explosively , and it is expected that singularities will continue as humanity begins to use fire. At that time, how is architecture, city, and graduate school?

The answer lies in the information. The reality mediated by the Internet (virtual) is permeating. This monistic thinking has the effect of obscuring the learning of contemporary architectural students and making it difficult to notice the diversity of both spaces. Our students who are learning architecture at the turning point of space acquire the current architectural value that must be inherited to future generations by "triviality of reality". AlphaGo VILLAS Compatition

AI (Artificial Intelligence) accelerates changes in the essential environment and sense of values in various areas of society, while listening to ethical issues. It has been about 95 years since Le Corbusier argued that "a house is a machine to live in." Housing in the AI society may be beyond human beings' "machine", an artificial artifact within human imagination.

18

I saw a glimpse of the new human being on AlphaGo. During the flight (2015.10) he won the third victory with the fifth

game against Lee Sedol. His ability to learn Go by himself from situation and score, The memory trace that Homo Sapiens has built up will reach an unseen place. With machine learning being more personalized and able to predict multi-sectoral stop-ups, what do we have to see now? The answer is not known to his Demis Hassabis. We are architectural students, not system engineers. Although AI is well aware that it is a means to solve an objective, it has not been able to escape from the desire to see his

spectacle. So we approached it as an architect. The next history of humanity is made from the generation of genetic memory by experience and situation. The entrance to the entrance and the next goal is taught by the engram of the self and the modern society. And I hope this work will touch the eyes of many people all over the world.

DESIGN 4 / THEATER

Pseudo Theater

THIED YEAR OF STUDY // 2018 TIAKI ARAI / TATSUYA HATORI TOKYO / ROPPONGI

I propose a theater where Tokyo has Roppongi's night activities, combining various functions.

Pseudo Theater Theater

I n t h e b o o k "Theatre_Architecture and Cultural History," the following is written: Architecture and theatre, these two arts are sisters, but as is common among sisters, they do not bring out each other's goodness. It was enough for the great performers such as Greeks and miracle writers Shakespeare, Loupe de Vega, Moliere, Corneille, Racine and others to have a minimal set of stages. Ipsen and Chekhov didn't ask for any more, and Affinity Theater, where Stringberg's favorite staged his work, was just an ordinary room. Conversely speaking, the Greek theater from 300 BC to 100 BC, and the Roman theater from 100 BC to 300 BC, the western theater from 1700 to 1875 as a Renaissance Italian theater. Although it is interesting to the architectural insane, all of them are the products of the downturn and decline of theatrical arts. In other words, what is pointed out here is that it is not useful no matter how well the theater architecture is made, if so, where is the value of the theater architecture?

20

After school, the children of the age when you can see the circus close to you will train your

imagination and spend rich time. The impressive opening of Hanazono Shrine, Why did you enjoy so much of the Edo period play sights and sights of the show hut, If you think about each thing carefully, it seems that there is a physical re-experience similar to a small theater in Showa, as it is close enough to feel familiar to the actor. In other words, it was a really lively little play space, including physical memories of stuffyness and stuffyness. The sense of unity between the actors in the small theater space and the audience feels that it was such a fierce thing. When we saw only the representation of the theater space, we cut off different times in the world, but what is sometimes touched across is the temporary construction. There are gaps in the world that can not be filled with permanent buildings alone, and I think that it is a temporary building that plays an active part there. Theatrical space, including its periphery, is present at any age, smaller or larger. However, it is disappearing from a specific city, and it can not be restored once it disappears. It is because the theater space is memorized in the place and symbolizes the place. Therefore, the theater will follow the phenomenon, What is theater architecture for theater?

We live on the miraculous succession of history. 65.5 million years ago The asteroid collided with the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. Limestone and gypsum were present there, so a large amount of acid rain fell, and a tsunami with a height of 300 m also occurred at the same time. As a result, the end of the Cretaceous mass extinction (K-Pg boundary), in which many species including the large reptiles including dinosaurs were extinct, occurred. So give the Earth a gap of only 1 minute. The 10-km-diameter one rapidly traveled over the Yucatan Peninsula at 20 km per second, crashing into the middle of the North American continent, and "another history" began to move. As mammals that entered the niche of extinct organisms, reign in this position? How did the surviving creatures be designed by time and make their history? -

THIRD YEAR OF STUDY // 2018 TAKAHARU TEZUKA FOREST

Shinto Architecture Design Theory / Religion

Shinto beliefs focus on the existence and power of the kami, or gods, that exist in the world, in nature, and especially in and throughout Japan.

Our interpretation of Shinto is located deep into the forest with high dense overgrown trees. The plateau- rectangle of gravel is 30 cm elevated from the ground and marks the site as sacred. Gravel symbolizes purity and marks a distance. It separates the sacred place from the external world. You can’ t step on it. All you can

see is the surface and the fine, polished concrete object. The object is unreachable and has a 60 cm ditch around. The ditch makes the object more sacred, you can’ t get close to it. The distance to the object and the closed object creates a desire and interest. The empty space inside the object is designed as

dw el l i ng place for gods and spirits. This emptiness does not mean non-existence. The space isn’ t a simple void: rather it is conceived as a region with possibility, a numinous space open to visiting deities. The emptiness around the object and in the object has a power to fill something there.

FORTH YEAR OF STUDY // 2018 TIAKI ARAI TOKYO / KAMATA

The site was selected in Ota Ward Kamata 4-chome. We propose 400 apartments in this characteristic site where the shopping district passes through the center of the site.

Sell “Privacy” and Earn “Happy” Communitey area complex

"Privacy" is something that can not be ignored when talking about recent homes. The owner asks the architect for a house, saying that he wants to protect it. On the other hand, there are cases where a major SNS company has lost the user's "personal information". "Privacy" and "personal information" are similar and different, but such a gap between real and fictional consciousness is a matter of society from present to future.

34

However, "privacy" and "personal information" are definitely the most important communication tools. If users can customize them freely and open them, they will be able to expect local communication more than three next to each other. Focusing on the anonymity of housing complex, we propose a system that allows residents to freely open their own "privacy", and landowners to mediate between companies and residents, and to provide experimental advertisements locally to residents. Residents, shopping street users, and guests are also communities, advertising towers, and experimental bodies.

Therefore, the residents sell "privacy" in a sense, and get advertisement of the company. Furthermore, "privacy" and "personal information" are more credible than gold. We hope that the unique bonds and emotions of Japan will be born from there and that they will be a community where they can enjoy happiness. Because of that, they are committed and earning.

I am asking Mr. Chiaki Arai, a planning architect. Mr. Arai's concept of the exhibition was "physicality", and in an easy-to-understand manner, it was "creation of a place to experience the sense of scale possessed by people." In other words, it is an attempt to approach physicality or physical space from the “scale” . It should be emphasized that it is not the now popular “material” but “scale” . First of all, regardless of whether it is "physical" or "scale", Mr. Arai has been thinking from the 1980s and 90s, and how to embody that in the ODS-R

framework. Discussions were repeated. In the monthly meeting, we take up four tea rooms that seem to be similar but completely different in space, and despite the fact that they are a collection of small scale groups, changing the adjacent scales will result in part or entire space I made a model many times and confirmed that it changed dramatically. The elements of the exhibition were decided by picking up the main elements of the space (the ones that embody the scale) that can be seen through such work. It was very exciting and

uninteresting to compare the different scales and the factors that embody them across regions and times. The collaborators were selected as follows: "Three artists who create new perceptual experiences with a contemporary approach based on a logical study of human sense of vision"It is Mr. Tomoyuki. They use light. The artificial light that they manipulate causes a small scale of space and its surroundings to appear an atmosphere that changes, shines, drifts, disappears, similar to the real tea room space.

WORKSHOP

A Floating Medieval Age Town Workshop

A Floating Mediev -al Age Town

The workshop is going to be held in the breathtaking, beautiful, heritage town of Grožnjan, Croatia. The diameter of this town is less than 300 meters, and sits on top of the hill surrounded by a historic city wall. Everything inside the city's walls is are within a few minutes walking distance. There are no cars within the city walls. With cloudy weather, the town will appear to be floating, like an island surrounded by a sea of white clouds, hiding the landscape below. The town is made entirely out of stone, the

material most prevalent during the Middle Ages. These stones hold artifacts to town's history and can be found within its historic walls, floors and pavement. These stones are timeless to the history of Grožnjan's architecture. Modern technology has no place, or meaning in the existence of this town and it's inhabitants. Throughout this workshop, the participants and professors will have the privilege to think about Grožnjan’ s possible future while staying in its historical buildings.

I felt charm in this city with distinctive windows. There are dove windows, nut windows, and human windows. So I propose a window for a child. Using a hole in the back of the restaurant located in the center of the city, I created another restaurant. The children open the windows of the city from the outside like an adventurer.

State of the Village Report 2019 is a report that replaces what is happening on the present earth that everyone can understand. I will convert the earth's interests caused by my experience to 1000 people in the world and sample the Earth in 2019 by shrinking the whole star as well.

From the distance of 6 billion kilometers, the earth appears to be a pale point. All the history of mankind is taking place at this little blue point, and this is our only home.

Numerous village decision criteria are limited to A4 piece of paper according to the format established by the former. Accelerate objective common data-based statistics to the subjective filter of design. Then, the residences (details) for 1000 people are designed, they form a herd and form a village (architecture).I find diversity in the existing living things of the various people of the planet and the buildings that exist to contain them accordingly, and prove homeostasis. It is as if there are conflicts in the city, if there is a countryside without losing sight

of the earth, like an act of considering the context (nearest station or neighboring house) which is the thinking process at design time On the one hand happiness creates a new life, its life finally finds love and sex, a person with trouble shuts her eyes and prays, breathes, takes a breath, drinks water and eats food such as ... I would like to express to the world what is happening on this star like a snapshot captured by a camera and like to be one of the architect's next goals. And I hope this work will touch the eyes of many people all over the world.

How should architecture exist in a place where civil war and conflict are constant? Residents are Syrians in Middle East and West Asia. Try to live on one religious building without classification by country. Here we propose a residence where these roads are entangled and go through to the upper floor here, which is the end point of

the way from Asia and Africa. From the two overlapping gaps, light like sunlight leaks through. Therefore, the internal structure is two layers. It is a woman's treatment of the factors that change the dwellings of Muslims. The female room is located as far away from the flow line as possible. Worship room looking for Mecca. It consists of granite material. It is the tip of the slope and the Muslim prayer room that connects to the sole ground of the residence that does not connect to any site like a cloud.

Existing strange hut There is a funny hut on the site originally plotted. In the surrounding area, a concrete hut is valuable, so it is returned to the home. A simple structure consisting of a concrete hut closed from adverse effects such as sand and dust, a tall ceiling connected with the outside, and a transparent wall that takes in light. It has a savannah climate, but in winter the average temperature drops below 20 ° C and is relatively easy to run from May to September. I tried to use local building materials as much as possible. The constructed wood is rich in fine wires, and a concrete roof is used as a basis for proportions, with a light roof.

These rooms are clearly visible from the shades cut out of the fins.

The whole city respects the design and the literacy is very high in that direction. It is understood that villagers are receiving architecture with a rich heart. You can see the landscape where people are living there in Moroko and other surrounding countries. Under this inductive idea, such a form comes up. At the bottom of the valley is a river, above which there are terraced fields for growing food, and on top of that there is a village itself with a complex irrigation system. The sea of sand turns the desert into a landless territory. It changes constantly. The ground

is by no means a reference point, and like seafarers, deserters rely on constellations as a stable geographical guide. We propose cities above and below the ground, that is, suspended and buried cities. Beyond its arbitrary and important aspects, cities are experienced in their verticality rather than horizontal.
