In May, the KoenigRubloff Cares Foundation threw a party at Lurie Children’s Hospital and Build-A-Bear provided stuffed animals for the children.

The Foundation then watched the World Champion Chicago Cubs’s victory against the Cincinnati Reds, where Anthony Rizzo came to meet the Sunshine Kids before the game.

A LETTER FROM THE CHAIRMAN

I’m truly moved thinking about the generous, supportive agents and employees within our company who show kindness not only for one week a year, but every day. I want to express my unwavering gratitude to each of you for your support of the KoenigRubloff Cares Foundation. It’s because of you that we’re able to make such a difference.

Since its inception, the work our Foundation has performed has grown exponentially and touched countless lives. The time we spend with the Sunshine Kids, the work we do on behalf of Habitat for Humanity families and all of the activities that take place during our annual Week of Kindness show a firm commitment to our communities that is really moving. The KoenigRubloff Cares Foundation is, at its core, about kindness. It’s about caring for those around you by laying out a bed or making them a warm meal and cookies. It’s about caring for those across the globe by packing food for them. It’s about making a blanket for children who may be suffering, to give them comfort. It’s providing and sorting through books for an at-risk child. It’s spending time with residents of a rehab center or individuals with disabilities. It’s about organizing food drives and collecting food for those that are hungry in our own community. It’s gathering shoes for kids around the world who don’t have any, to help prevent infection and possible amputation caused by wandering the streets barefoot. It’s landscaping homes for an incredible organization that houses individuals with disabilities. The list goes on.
