Chamber Presents New Programs For 2011 All Chamber members are encouraged to join the Chamber Board of Directors and staff at the annual meeting, to be held on Wednesday, Nov. 3 at the Senior Center in Arab. The annual meeting, sponsored by Regions Bank, will begin at 7:30 a.m. and will include coffee and a light breakfast. During the annual meeting the Chamber Board of Directors will present the 2011 calendar of events and introduce new programs for members. Brandon Snider, Chairman of the Chamber Board will recognize outgoing board members and introduce Holli Shelton as the incoming chair. Snider is with Consumer First Mortgage and will remain on the Chamber Board for another year, serving as past chair on the executive committee. Shelton owns and manages Up, Up and Away and is a realtor with Arab Professional Realty. She has served on the Chamber Board for five years. There are three open positions on the Chamber Board of Directors. The Board’s Nomination Committee has presented the following individuals for Board selection: Teresa Guess, with Marshall Medical Centers; Roger

Watson, with Dollar and Watson; and Kathy Ramsey, owner of Yancey’s Eclectic Décor. Chamber members can also submit nominations for consideration by emailing before Nov. 1, 2010. Chamber members will have the opportunity to vote for Board selections at the meeting. A ballot is included in this newsletter. At the November meeting, members interested in getting more involved in the Chamber will have the opportunity to sign up for working committees, ambassadors and other Chamber initiatives. The new programs offered for 2011 include a State of The City Address, Healthcare Breakfast, and a Legislative Update. Also added are quarterly networking after-hour events.
