Preparation for Worship

Like the women who first heard the Resurrection news, we come not knowing what to expect. Surprise us, Christ Jesus, with your living presence, in life’s uncertainties.


Announcements Your Annie Armstrong and/or CBF Global Missions Offerings will be accepted throughout the month of March. Envelopes for both Missions can be found in the pews. Today is Food Pantry Sunday, so don’t forget your food pantry donations! Supporting our local Food Pantry is an on-going mission project of the Angelic Ministers. Food collection barrels are located in the education building for you to place your food donations. A grocery list is included in today’s bulletin. The Church Office will be closed Monday, April 1st for the Easter Holiday. No Wednesday Night Activities this Wednesday, April 3rd! Properties Committee Meeting - Thursday, April 4th at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room. TwoGreen Thumbs Garden Club - Monday April 8th at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Angelic Ministers Meeting - Tuesday, April 9th at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room. Philathea Sunday School Class Meeting - Thursday, April 11th at 10:00 am in the Conference Room. Deacon’s Meeting - Sunday, April 14th at 5:00 pm in the Conference Room. A Bridal Shower for Jessica Jones, bride elect of Jonathan Burgess, will be Sunday, April 14th from 2:00 - 4:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. They are registered at Belk, Target, and Bed, Bath & Beyond. Blood Drive - Sunday, April 14th from 12:30 - 5:00 pm in the FLC. Please come by the church office to sign up or go to www.redcrossblood.org.


Announcements The “Backpack Buddies” program is an ongoing ministry KBC has with Knightdale Elementary School. Plastic bags, used to distribute the food, are not needed at this time, but there is an urgent need for food items. NOTICE - Save the date! Sunday, May 5th is the date set for the next KBC Spaghetti Lunch and Auction. Auction items are needed, please contact Robin Farrington at 919-266-7690 or Philip Humphries at 919-266-9485. More information will be published in the coming weeks. An organizational meeting will be scheduled soon as well.

Wednesday Night Fellowship Meal April 10th from 5:30 - 6:30 pm (Arrival anytime between 5:30 and 6:30 pm)

The menu is: Lasagna, Salad Bar, Bread, Homemade Desserts and Beverages (Cheese Pizza always available) The cost is: adults (10-up) $5.00, children (4-9) $2.00 and children 3 and under free. Maximum family cost is $20.00. Reservations/cancellations must be made by noon Monday, April 8th. Call the church office to make reservations or complete the Wednesday Night section on the “Welcome Guest” slip and drop it in the offering plate. Make sure to write your name on the slip.

Thank You A big thank you, thank you, thank you goes to Nelson Crider, Bobby Harrell and John Bruce Parrish for installing the water heater in the men’s and women’s bathroom in the Sanctuary! We now have hot water after sixty years!

However, any permanent changes in the schedule should continue to be handled by the lead coordinator. Thank you for all your help.

Attention KBC Parents: If you have a child participating in children’s worship, please make sure they are picked up at the end of the church service by a parent or adult. The children’s worship leaders will only allow children to be picked up by a parent or adult from the nursery, toddler, 2-3 year old, 4-5 year old, or 6-7 year old classrooms. We love our children at KBC and want to ensure their safety! Thank you
